Who else has seen this show? This is probably my 3rd favorite show on, and it is mainly because Hugh Laurie. The guy is great he is terrific in the show, and he got robbed of that emmy, Spader should have never won it. Still, I check the show out, it is probably the best medical drama on tv right now.

I haven't seen it, but I've heard good things about it, and about Laurie. Every time I see the promos, though, I can't quite picture him as anyone other than Bertie Wooster from Jeeves and Wooster - quite a different role... :) He is a great actor, though - I'm sure he brings a great presence to the role.

I made a thread about this show when it first came on...so, yeah.

I really enjoyed the first season, but it got a bit too gorey for me. Plus I work nearly every Tuesday night :x

How can you not love a rude, sarcastic doctor with a vicodin addiction and a bum leg?

This is my whole Tuesday. It takes a day to get ready for the genius that is House. It's the only show that makes me laugh out loud. I'm a sucker for sarcasm.

Plus, Hugh Laurie :love

EDIT: Gah! I forgot that I taped tonights episode! I haven't even watched it yet!

I can't stand this show, mostly because I watch it with my mom, who's a nurse, and who constantly pokes holes in their plots and shows how utterly ludicrous they are.

I watched a couple episodes, only to figure out that each episode was exactly the same as the one before it:

Patient has mysterious illness. On the brink of death, House comes up with a highly controversial method to potentially save the patient. Despite warnings and protests from his co-workers, he goes ahead with the procedure/treatment anyway.
The twist comes depending when House tells the patient's family members about the treatment; before or after he's already performed it.

And this line is always in the show, or at least a variation of it:

"If we don't try this then your son/daughter/child/other family member will DIE!"

IMO if you've seen one you've seen them all, but all that aside I do think the House character is a good one.

Well its the character that makes the show work, IMO. Also honestly all hospital shows have the same plot, ER is that way. The reason why House works is because of the character and the acting of Laurie take that away and the show wouldn't work. It is like Columbo (though not a medical show but there is a reason I compare the two) the same thing happens in Columbo every episode somebody gets killed you know who did it you watch how, why, etc. Then you watch Columbo solve the case it is the same show every episode the only reason it works is because of the character and the acting of Falk. House is oddly similar in that way.

I can't speak for the gents, but 99.9% of the ladies who watch this show could care less about plot. :D
