Survivors of the Jedi Purge

Hey everyone,

For those of you who RP characters that survived the purge, I am interested in coordinating one epic RP detailing where we were and what we were doing when the purge took place. Anyone who was a Jedi at the time of the purge would be welcomed to jump in, but I wanted to see what kind of reception this idea would receive. It'll be a great way for all of us to coordinate our stories and know what went on for each of us.

For example, Jeseth responded to the "distress call" and arrived at the Temple, found himself assaulted by Clone Troopers. He managed to (barely) find his sister who was hanging onto life by a thread. He left Coruscant with her, etc. His sister on the other hand would probably write about the massacre of young ones at the hands of Anakin Skywalker. So, everyone would have their own take on what happen.

If you're interested in taking part in this RP let me know so we can get some sort of posting order going. I'm leaving this thread up for a week before I go ahead with the RP. If anyone knows of this already having been done, let me know too.

He's some chronology for thought, using Before/After the Battle of Endor as a reference point (BBE/ABE):

20 Years BBE: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
04 Years BBE: Episode IV: A New Hope
02 Years BBE: Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back
00 Years BBE: Episode VI: Return of the Jedi - SWFans.net Timeline Begins

So for anyone who isn't into Star Wars lore, take your chracters current age and substract 20, and this will give you your characters age at the time of the purge. If you're biography states that you were a Jedi Knight or Master at the time of the purge, but the number you get is less than 20, you might want to reconsider the current age of your character.

Most Padawans would have been between 5 and 18 years old, most Jedi Knights between 18 and 25 years old, and most Jedi Masters between 25 and 40+ years old.

It would be pretty safe to assume that all Padawans would have known eachother to some degree. All Knights and Masters would have known eachother as well. So to set up a posting order that would make sense, you guys should just give me a tiny summary of what you were doing when the purge took place. Feel free to list your character's age or even describe the way others would have percieved them. Excuse any typos... it's late and I'm not running spellcheck. :)

Clea is approximately 21(and a Knight-Investigator) at the time of the Purge. She was one of the early covert casualties - beaten up and left for dead at a low level of Coruscant, amnesiac and not knowing what she was.

She was rescued by a Madam-with-a-heart-of-gold and worked for her at her House for a while, trying to figure out what she'd been, and then hooked up with a group as their lead singer - heading for a contract for the upper levels.

Suddenly, the bad guys who dumped her were looking for her again - but she was dodging them with the help of her lower-level friends She'd just figured out that she was a Jedi - didn't much like it, but wanted to go back and warn the Jedi that they had a traitor in their midst, when the Purge started in ernest. Soon, she was helping to HIDE Jedi. She didn't tell them what she was, or why she was doing it.

20 years ago, Jehova (Padawan close to promotion, approximately 30-40 years of age) was sent to seek out information regarding the location of the leaders of the Geo/Trade Federation group and bring them to the senate. Escorted by a small group of Clone troopers, he was close to finding them after several dead ends. Unfornuately the Purge had begun, the clones turned on him and he just barely escaped with his life. Over the years he has been moving from planet to planet. Now his exile leads him to Nar Shadaa, the perfect place to lose your followers... and your beliefs.

Lilaena was a young padawan ( I have a few age discrepencies running around in my Rps that I need to fix) at the time of the Purge, and Serena was on a humanitarian mission to the Outer Rim as a newly Knighted Jedi.

At the time Belay Nisi was a path-less 7 year old that had just recently lost his Jedi Master to the war. During which he was considered a very gifted child in the ways of the Force and was picked up quite early for his trainings. In doing so he formed an affinity with creation of lightsabers and during his wait for an anew Jedi Master began working within different realms in which the Force could help the war. Renown amongst other Padawans and even Knights amongst the Jedi Temple halls for his abilities to make delicate Jedi lightsabers to replace the commonly lost one's on the battlefield by the youngest of Padawan.

Because of his unique status amongst the Jedi Order he held friendships with the Bear Clan and fellow Padawan that were left behind in dangerous missions. This, coupled with his strenghts in engineering and quick understanding of basic ship fleight, left him to be forseen as a great Jedi by much of the Councilmen and high ranking Jedi Masters that decided his fate after his Master's untimely death. The fact that he reacted so calmly and optimistic about his father-figures demise furthered the thought that he would be a great Jedi Master one day...but how they were wrong.

Anyway, I'm in. Spada was a 17 year old Padawan who was about to become a knight when the purge took place (which is not far from the truth, in fact). As he was returning from a mission, a squadron of Imperial fighters attacked him and he narrowly escaped, sending himself into exile on his homeworld. From there, he basically almost turns to the dark side and decides never to return to take part in the Rebellion, for fear of losing control of his anger. I don't know if this will work out with the thread, but whatever. I would like to do this, however, to kind of RP how his anger almost got the best of him.

The order would go something like this...

Whoever was present at the time of Order 66s execution would be first to post. Second would be anyone present at the Jedi Temple when Anakin and the Clone Troopers attacked it. Third to post would be anyone responding to the "distress signal" sent out asking all Jedi to return to the temple. The last people to post would be the Jedi that recieve the message telling them to go into hiding.

That's sort of the idea I had, just to keep it neat. :)

Posting order will be important in order to make sure this doesn't get too messy. Try not to muddle your action bits into someone else's action bits if the two are unrelated. :)

If you mean he is 16 during the time of the purge, then in our current RP timeline located shortly after the battle of Endor, he'd be 36-37.

If you mean he is 16 at our current timeline, whenever that may be, then he was -4 at the time of the Purge.

Any chance there's room for one more? Basic information on Senor Joda:

-Was 22 at the time of the purge, and in his prime - seen as one of the most awesome dudes in the Jedi Order. (Not best fighter, just most awesome dudes...)
-I suppose he would have reached knight status at that point, but, as he's been laying low as a mortgage officer and used speeder dealer for 20 years, he's been out of practice, so would now be back to the level of an initiate.
-His years of near isolation have brought about many... interesting habits, including:
-Apearing randomly from behind plants as you walk by
-Carrying around an old bag with who-knows-what in it
-Eating melting chocolate bars very loudly while standing too closely to you
-Smelling like pea soup (according to some...)
-Speaking in phrases that are almost one word but not quite another. For example: "Jedah Knight," "No Probalo," etc.
- He speaks in a very quiet, scratchy, mumbling voice, and doesn't really understand gender... everyone is female
-Was on a mission at the time of Order 66's execution, and, due to his extreme awesomeness (:D), was able to escape the clones' attack. (If it's too late to get in on this part, I can tweak the backstory...)

I guess that's the important stuff - and some of the unimportant stuff, too. If you need to know anything else, just ask.

For those of you who know where this idea stemmed from... hope this isn't too off-the-wall :D

Also, if anyone thinks this is too close to the original Senor Cardgage (www.homestarrunner.com), I'll gladly deviate a bit more.

I would think this would fall under "parody," which is included in the "Fair Use" section of the Copyright laws, but I suppose the forum admins know best.

BTW - over Christmas I was at a friend's house and her father had said NO to me staying overnight - but I was kinda stranded - so I stayed anyway. She referred to it as harboring a fugitive Jedi Master - LOL! (not that we're a little SW oriented here......)
