View Full Version : I walk alone (Open)

The rain poured down on the ground of the Sith Order. Large puddles of mud lie everywhere, making only a small path of solid area to walk along to get to the gates of the order. Only one person walked along this small pathway now.

Alexis walked with determined strides towards the gates. The only sound that could be heard from her was a soft metal against metal sound as the many gothic crosses that hung around her neck clinked together as she walked. A trench coat was pulled around her, keeping the majority of her dry except for her head. Her long hair fell around her shoulders and neck, clinging to her from the rain. Her blue eyes remained focused on the task at hand. The entrance to the order was only a little farther, Her black, tied up, knee high combat boots oddly did not leave any tracks in the muddy ground as she walked.

Finaly, she stood infront of the entrance into the citadel. She looked up at them with her blue eyes then placed a hand on the door. With little effor, she pushed it open and stepped inside. Once within, she slipped her trench coat off and folded it up a bit so that it would not drip all over the place. Her clothing was dry underneith. She looked carefuly around the entrance hall.

The area was suprisingly empty. No one seemed to be around. Once she had gotten her acceptance and told when to show up, she expected someone to have been there to tell her where to go and atleast a bit of a hint of what to do now that she ws accepted into the order. She took a few cautious steps forward and looked down the hall.

Yurza walked around the Citadel, book in hand, as he read the instructions of building his lightsaber. Though he knew the process by heart, he didn't want any mistakes on this one.

He reached up and scratched his stubbled chin and sighed as he felt the poking hairs. It had been almost a week since he had shaved, preferring the time rather to eat, sleep, or work on his lightsaber's insides. The weapon seemed to be coming along perfectly.

He glanced up from the schematic that showed how to attach the power supply as he heard the Citadel's doors open. A young woman walked in. She looked the part of what a Sith Witch would look like, if you traded the coat for a robe, but he surmised she was more just an attention seeking girl.

"Lost?" He asked as he walked slowly towards her.

Alexis had spotted him when she heard the foot steps echoing down the hall way. She watched him until he had looked up at her and spoken to her. When he asked if she was lost, she glanced over her shoulder at the door and then back at him before shaking her head.

"I am not lost in the sense of if I am where I belong or not. Perhaps in the sense of I do not know where the living quarters or other such areas of this citadel is, then yes I am lost."

Her voice was smooth yet at the same time, it demanded respect. No fear showed in her eyes as she walked towards the man that had come. A bag hung over her shoulder and, other than her coat, it was the only thing she had with her. No weapons were seen on her.

"Perhaps you could help me."

"Prehaps, but I would be a fool to show someone that I do not know or recognize around this palace. What reason or proof do you offer that you do indeed belong with the Sith here?" He asked. He so enjoyed questioning and torturing the new comers. True he would be punished should he kill one, but should one "disappear" every so often, who was the wiser?

Still he would have his fun and probably end up helping her as he was dying for some sort of interaction. Two weeks in his room with nothing but food and a bathroom to keep him company, well it could drive anyone insane.

Alexis raised an eye brow at his challenge to her. An amused look came to her face. She continues walking over to him until she is about five feet away from him. She looked into his eyes, her own amazingly blue eyes staring back into his eyes.

"What proof do you have that I do not belong here, milord? I recieved word that I was accepted here, so I came. Do you have proof that I am wrong?"

She took another step towards him, closing the gap half way. Behind her back, she opened her hand, palm towards the ground. A stileto dagger slipped slowly out of her boot. She kept eye contact with him. The dagger sliped around behind him then slowly came around his neck without touching him until it came to his throat where it carefully grazed his skin in an almost threatening but at the same time seductive manor. A small smirk fell apon her face. Her hands were still behind her back.

"Well, milord? Do you have proof?"

Yurza smiled as he felt the blade on his neck. "Proof that you can control the Force, yes. Proof that you belong here, no. Anyone with enough time could control this dagger, but being here requires more than just simple parlor tricks."

To re-enforce his words, he reached with the Force and ripped the dagger from her grasp and threw it to the ground at her feet. Though he was weak with his telekinetics, he was trained with them and knew how to focus them. "It requires something much different. It requires a reason. A passion. A thirst. And you have just given me reason to doubt you have these things. You had a dagger to my throat. One that probably could have ended my life and you didn't try to remove me as a threat. Why?"

Alexis Biede
Jul 10th, 2005, 12:57:01 PM
A small laugh comes to her lips as she picks the dagger up with the force and slips it back where it belongs. She glanced back down the hall then back at him.

"Well, what is it that I can do to prove to you that I do belong here and that I was accepted here by your elders?"

Yurza Magus
Jul 10th, 2005, 01:00:28 PM
"Answering my simple question of why you didn't kill me would be a start. As Sith we are ambitious by nature and our hunger for power is only feuled by the Force. You had the chance to kill and didn't, not very Sith-like. Why? "

Alexis Biede
Jul 10th, 2005, 01:11:39 PM
"First day in the order? I would rather not get kicked out already for the death of another. Not to mention, I see no reason to kill you yet. You pose no threat to me at this given moment in time. But if it does seem that you are a threat to my advancements within the order, dont expect my blade to miss next time. But for now, you are not worth my blade."

The smirk returns to her lips once again.

"Besides, I could reverse the question onto you. You obviously are much better at using the force and the dark side than I am. After all, you are already working on a lightsaber."

She motions to his data pad.

"Why have you not killed me yet?"

Yurza Magus
Jul 10th, 2005, 01:20:36 PM
Yurza chuckled. "Prehaps you will make it in here if you have enough brains to think beyond the present moment. Most adepts who would want to consider themselves foolish and rush to try and kill me just for pointing that out. You on the other hand actually think before acting. I salute you for this."

He shook his head and switched off his datapad before putting it in a pocket of his pants. "My reason for not killing is the same as yours. It would be pointless to kill you now. Besides you are new here and may yet prove yourself useful."

"Well then it seems we are at a temporary alliance with each other. Perhaps, then, you could spare a few moments to show me around this labrinth of hallways and doors?"

She found this man interesting. She wondered what level in the order he is as she waited for his answer. She made a mental note to herself to find that out later.

Yurza Magus
Jul 10th, 2005, 01:37:43 PM
"Indeed. I could use the company. Where would you like to see first? The living quaters? The dining hall? The courtyard? The training grounds?" He asked as he stretched his arms behind his back.

Alexis Biede
Jul 10th, 2005, 01:51:44 PM
She shrugs slightly then glances down the hall way that he came from. Her hair was nearly dry now so it hung around her neck and shoulders nicely. She was lucky that she was one of the few that their hair did not frizz out when it got wet. Her eyes drift back to Yurza.

"Well, I supose we could go in that order. Or what ever is closest to here and then work our way to the farthest away thing."

She nods in the way that he had come from, assuming that was one of the closest areas.

"But I must ask you something before we start out. What is your name?"

Yurza Magus
Jul 10th, 2005, 02:00:14 PM
"Yurza," he said as he looked back down the corridor he had just come out of. "Ahh...guess we could start this way. First stop is the courtyards. Then the dining halls and the living quaters after that. The training rooms are...well...actually they are all over the place. They are in different positions so that different workouts and lessons can be had."

He turned his entire body to the hall now and walked toward the doors at the end. "We'll stay under the walkways to avoid the weather."

They walked in silence until they reached the door, where Yurza paused with his hand on the door handle. "Before we go any farther, you have my name. Might I ask yours as well?"

Alexis Biede
Jul 10th, 2005, 02:08:27 PM
Alexis followed him down the hallway. She listened as he spoke about the differing training rooms and such before he went silent as they continued down the hall way. When he asked her her name, she laughed.

"I was wondering if you were ever going to question me about that. I am Alexis Biede."

Yurza Magus
Jul 10th, 2005, 02:15:11 PM
He looked back with a dark smile.

"I thought it better to ask rather than just take it from your mind," he said as he opened the door. The rain had let off slightly, but it was still somewhat heavy pouring. He took an imeadiate left and stood under the walkway. The edges of the duracrete were wet from the splashes the rain made when hitting the ground, but it was dry enough in the middle.

"Come follow me," he said walking around to the center of the walkway, where he stopped. Here there was a sort of balcony, where the overhang extended slightly more than the sidewalk, assuring that the small cubby would be dry. "Here is the courtyard. On more pleasent days you'll find some out here rest or meditating, or in most cases just stirring up trouble between one another."

"So Alexis," he said turning to look at the girl beside him. "Where are you from?"

Alexis Biede
Jul 10th, 2005, 02:32:00 PM
She followed what he did until she was standing behind him under the balcony. She follows him down the walk way, keeping out of the rain puddles as she walked. Her eyes raise to look at him as he asks her where she is from.

"That depends on what time you are talking about. Origonaly I lived on Naboo with my mother and father. But after I angered them, they sent me off to Coruscant to a school out there. Got taken from there to a different planet that I dont know the name of. Left there and have been traveling from planet to planet sense then, trying to find something that could help me control the force."

She shrugs.

"I tend to move around alot."

Yurza Magus
Jul 10th, 2005, 02:35:22 PM
"And this? Is this just something else for your passing? Do you think of the Sith as just your next pitstop?" He asked as he turned them around and headed for the door on the other side of the courtyard. "I warn you if that is your train of thoughts, then you had better just stop and leave now. We do not tolerate defectors very lightly."

Alexis Biede
Jul 10th, 2005, 02:47:52 PM
"Sorry if you took it that way. No. I have been looking for a place like this for a long time now. I am more loyal than that. I have just never found something to place my loyalties in. Unlike my idiot sister."

The last four words from her mouth came in a tone that was anything but plesant. The dislike of her sister was obvious in her.

Yurza Magus
Jul 10th, 2005, 02:51:45 PM
"Sister?" Yurza quieried as he opened the door that led into the dining facility. It wasn't extravagent, but it was pleasent to the eyes and the food, while not the best in the galaxy, was definitely some that Yurza would consider recommending if it had been open to the public.

Alexis Biede
Jul 10th, 2005, 03:00:26 PM
She sighs slightly, looking at the ground. She then looks ahead of her again and around the room before they continue on. She wasnt all that hungry at the moment in the first place. The mention of her sister took her thoughts away from the food and back to Yurza.

"Aye. My sister. Twin sister to be exact. When we were both very young, she was taken from the family by the Jedi. She found her place before she could even talk clearly. I was stuck behind with my mother and father. The jedi did not sense the force within me at the time. My powers developed later and by then, it was too late for them to take me. I was already angry at my sister. She was all my parents would talk about. I was nothing. Then, my parents actualy did find out about my ability and sent me away to some stupid school because they could not deal with me."

She shakes her head and looks at the ground, her eyes narrowing down into a glare.

"My sister is dead now because the jedi took her. Because of the purge I supose."

Yurza Magus
Jul 10th, 2005, 03:10:06 PM
"I see. Then you should thank the Jedi. They saved your life in a sense," he said with a chuckle. They headed out the door on the other side of the room and came to a small corridor. There were to halls leading off to the right and left of them and a flight of stairs in front of them.

"These halls lead to the living quaters. Though I couldn't tell you which rooms were empty. They are for apprentices and guests. These stairs lead to the second floor of this wing only. The rooms there are reserved for knights and above. That is where I sleep," he said pointing up and directly under the third room in the right hall.

"Apprentices are not allowed up there unless accompanied by someone who lives up there. As far as the training rooms go, well they are this way," he said turning to his left and then stopping. "Unless you would prefer to find a room to place your things first?"

Alexis Biede
Jul 10th, 2005, 03:17:24 PM
She scowled when he mentioned that she should thank the jedi. She still hated them. Even though there arnt many of them around any more.

She looks around the living quarters as he explains who lives in which area. Her eyes turn to the stair case he was speaking off then looks at him in suprise.

"Your a Knight?"

Suddenly the realization of what she did when she first met him hit her.

'Oh frell. I just threatened the life of one of the knights of the order.'

She thinks to herself.

Yurza Magus
Jul 10th, 2005, 03:21:19 PM
"I am," he replied quietly. He didn't reach into her mind, but he could feel the realization dawn on her as she thought about thier first words together.

"So. To the training grounds? Or would you prefer to find a room to place your things?"

Alexis Biede
Jul 10th, 2005, 03:31:32 PM
In her own mind, she was beating herself up over what she had done in the begining and what she was doing now. Both of them would be frowned apon by the elders. She was sure of it. But for now, she figured she needed to just continue on with the tour.

"Um... I guess beings we are here, I should find a place to put my stuff down in then continue on."

She was still cursing herself for what she did.

Yurza Magus
Jul 10th, 2005, 03:35:46 PM
Yurza nodded and walked over to a small data-terminal and entered his passcode. Almost instantaneously a screen popped up and he went through a few more before find a diagram of the living quaters and the rooms on the Apprentice's floor that were uninhabited.

"Hmm...you seem to be in luck. There are quite a few open at the moment. You have your pick between these five," he said moving so that she could view them. Three were on the way to the training grounds and two in the opposite hall.

Alexis Biede
Jul 10th, 2005, 03:41:29 PM
She looks through the five quickly before finaly choosing one. She points at the screan at the room closest to the training grounds.

"That one I think should do it."

She turns and starts walking down the hall towards it then turns back to him.

"What exactly comes in the rooms? Are they empty?"

Yurza Magus
Jul 10th, 2005, 03:47:30 PM
"Not as most might think of empty, but to me yes they are. They contain a bed and three bookshelves and a desk. Besides a small kitchenette and fresher, that is all there is. Basic necessities for living and nothing else. You want more you earn it or pay for it," he said as he got the access code for the room's door.

"Here. This is your room's access code."

Alexis Biede
Jul 10th, 2005, 03:59:44 PM
She nods and takes the code before they continue on to her new room.

"That is enough for me. I am used to not living off of much in the way of rooms and such like that."

She continues down until they get to the empty room. She types in the code then steps into the room after the door slides open. Alexis puts down her bag and lies out her jacket before glancing around the room quickly then she looks at Yurza.

"I like it."

Yurza Magus
Jul 10th, 2005, 04:04:56 PM
Yurza had stayed in the door frame and now stood there leaning against it. "It is better than most I've lived in, but not nearly as grand as the rest."

To show his meaning, he reached out with the Force and placed an illusion over the room. There were large pillows and a huge holoscreen along with a large shag carpet covering the floor. It along with the rest of the furniture was crimson and gold.

Alexis Biede
Jul 10th, 2005, 04:19:55 PM
Alexis looked around the room, amazed. She had never seen something like that before. She was amazed by the fact that he had been able to do that too the room in the first place and then by how amazing the room looked.

"How... how did you do that?"

She turns back to look at him, still a bit confused. She had no idea that the force was able to be used like that.

Yurza Magus
Jul 10th, 2005, 04:23:19 PM
He smiled as he pushed away from the wall and walked inside. He picked up a small crystal off the desk that would have cost a small fortune by itself. "In time you will know."

He tossed the crystal in his hands a few times before letting it drop to the ground and when it shattered, it and the rest of the room disappeared. "Shall we continue the tour?"

Alexis Biede
Jul 10th, 2005, 04:41:57 PM
She looks around the room quickly as the illusion disappears the nods in respons and follows him out of the door. After locking the door, the two of them continue on towards the training rooms.

"I didn't know you could creat illusions with the force. I thought things like that could only be done with technology and such like that."

Yurza Magus
Jul 10th, 2005, 04:50:00 PM
"Don't underestimate the power of the Force. What I just showed you was only but a taste of it's depth. When you start your training, you will learn quickly that to rely on anything else but the Force would be foolish," he said as they reached the end of the hall and he opened on of the doors. With a hiss of air, the door shot out of sight to reveal a large room with two doors on each wall.

"This is the main training room. Mainly used for the physical aspects. The doors all lead to rooms about the size of your living quaters where other lessons are taught. Some are taught the ancient arts of the Sith magicks and others just our history or the practice of illusions."

Yurza stepped into the door and onto a cushioned floor mat. "The rooms are usually reserved for one or two lessons together due to the fact that you can change the hardness of the floor and the gravity to a small degree."

Alexis Biede
Jul 11th, 2005, 05:07:42 PM
Alexis walked into the room and looked around. The ground gave way a bit under her boots and she looked down, noticing the cusioned floor.

"Interesting. How many members are there of the order?"

She looks back up at Yurza.

Yurza Magus
Jul 11th, 2005, 06:25:37 PM
"Now I believe there are only eight or nine, atleast here. Elsewhere there may be more."

Alexis Biede
Jul 17th, 2005, 09:02:41 PM
(ooc: I am really sorry. This week was Comic Con and I was away from my computer for like the entire week cause I was down there. Dont hate me please?)

"I'm not all that good with fighting with weapons and such. Perhaps, with time, I will learn. I know martial arts and such though."

Her eyes darted around the room, taking in every small detail in there, ever tiny blood mark that had never been cleaned up and things of this nature.

Yurza Magus
Jul 17th, 2005, 09:20:56 PM
"Really? That would be an interesting demonstration, but prehaps for later," he said with a wicked grin. "But as I stated with the beginning of this tour, this is the last stop. Do you have any questions?"

Alexis Biede
Jul 23rd, 2005, 02:13:15 PM
"Only one. When do I find out who is my master or where do I go to request one?"

Yurza Magus
Jul 23rd, 2005, 03:29:08 PM
"You find out only by asking. Upon being accepted into this establishment, you were given access to certain files of the Order. You can find them using your datapad. One file will be a list of the members and any you wish to train you."

Alexis Biede
Jul 23rd, 2005, 11:02:52 PM
Alexis pulls out her datapad quickly and flips through the files and notes the new areas that she is able to get into. She glances through the names quickly and finds Yurza's name under the Knight section.

"Would you be able to train me? Or are you busy with other things?"

Yurza Magus
Jul 24th, 2005, 08:54:11 PM
"I could, but only if you are willing to do what I say, when I say and with no contest," he replied smoothly.

Alexis Biede
Jul 28th, 2005, 05:37:16 PM
Alexis thinks about this for a moment, watching him carefully. She studies him in this short time, sizing him up. Every few seconds, she would glance down at the data pad before she finaly speaks again.

"Alright. I swear to do as you say as long as it is within the rules of the order."

Yurza Magus
Jul 28th, 2005, 08:03:45 PM
The Sith Knight nodded. "Very well. Get rest tonight. Tomorrow we will start and you will need all of your strength."
