Claudia Avallone

Coruscant and the endless events taking place within the vast streets of the city planet. It seemed to never cease, the senseless chatter of the crowds that forever flowed out of the darkening clubs and lounges. Creatures of the underworld, they were. People who belonged to Coruscant's night, and the night alone. Claudia Avallone had been one of them since she was a child. Her parents had been as such before her. Unfortunately, she had to pick up the tradition on her own after her parents were taken out by a local gathering of some pretty nasty characters, who now seemed to her like everything else. Play.

Her speeder's dual engines roared as she swerved around a minor traffic jam - no doubt a group of drunkards attempting to cross one of the busiest streets. What morons, she thought, as she raced by them, nearly overturning a few in her quick passing. It was still early in the night and already they had begun to grow bored of the same old scene - fleeing to the nearest and newest means of amusement. Claudia gazed hatefully at those passing by her in mere seconds - okay, so she was going a little bit faster than she should have been. She always did. Green eyes flickered beneath the tinted shade of her visor. Unlike most, she found drinking till one wanted to puke quite old. Some good old fashion violence was what she needed.

Parking her speeder in a enclosed location, an empty parking hanger on the slum side of town to be exact, she removed her helmet and clicked a button at the side of her wristwatch, the corresponding signal blinking from the speeder's handles. She smiled and turned away, walking down the hanger ramp and into the streets she had come to call home.

It had already started. Tonight was ladys' night, as she recalled, and judging from the catcalls echoing from men in streets above and below - she was correct. Moving to stand with the crowd, she watched as two women, of no fair or flimsy build went at each other. It was not long before the larger of the two had render the other completely motionless, thus signifying that she was the winner.

"Anyone else out there gonna take me or are you too scared!" She harked at the women standing around her. None stepped up. Claudia frowned. Chickens, she thought.

"Come on you bunch of pu- "

"Quit your yappin' already, woman." Claudia hissed, then stepped into the circle. "The only reason you're winning is because you're so ugly, you got them all scared to death with those eyebrows. Now come on..." She purred, slipping back into a defensive stance.

From among the many gathered in the poor excuse of an arene, stood a individual with the kind of look that made people stepped back and wonder who the frell the guy was. His nerf hided jacked was weathered and torn, his hair cut short, his eyes were filled with a dull black glow of a killer. The stim burning in his lips threw its amber light on his face and the smoke wafted around his face, hiding it from view at times.

The blaster on his hip and the knife in his belt simply made him look like a thug. But the it was the fact that his belt was made from krayt dragon scales and the handle of his blaster was so unique in design from so many costomizations that made him stand out. No one was standing very close to him, either to avoid the smoke of his stim or to just keep a safe distance from him.

Gavin Ravenna, space pirate, paid gun, and smuggler had been observing the fights for awhile now. The women fought and the men threw bets. So far Gavin had ammased a nice little bundle from his betting. People simply but him off as lucky when his chosen fighters won the first five times he betted. but they started to get suspision when he racked up to twelve wins in a row with no loses. He didn't cheat, he just had a keen eye and knew about street fighting and could spot the better combatant like someone would deside between a rotten fruit and a fresh one.

Another fighter went down and a Gavin collected his wins again. He paid no attention to the grumbles of the losers and simply counted the creds and then stuffed them in his pockets. A new fighter was comming in now. Gavin was about to bet on the previous winner when he got a good look at the new comer. Beautiful, lith, and very attractive. Strong in body by the looks of it. He glanced over at the previous winner. A ugly brute of a woman with burly arms and a savage expression. His instincts told him to bet on the brute, but there was something about the new woman that told him to bet on her.

He motioned the bet collector over and placed a bet of a thousand credits on the newcomer. The collector looked astonished and asked why such a high bet. Gavin waved him off without an answer and concentrated on the fight.
