Twice in the last hour I have recieved a link from someone asking me first to check out a link to an image of them and secondly, to a supposedly humorous video.

What these links actually direct you to a file called untitled.scr - I don't know anything about viruses but this seems very dodgy to me. Add to that the fact that this person in particular has been idle for an hour and a half now and must have no idea that somehow they are sending these links to people on their contact lists.

Can anyone help me understand what is going on? Has this persons computer been hacked? Is untitled.scr a virus?

.scr is a screensaver format as far as I know, but if it's from someone you don't know on a server you're not familiar with, don't go. Throw me the URLs from your logs, if you hopefully autolog everything.

I think AIM is vulnerable to scripting, but I'm not sure. One of the many reasons to use weird things like Trillian or GAIM.
