I'm not going to patronise you guys with a lecture about this, it's simply a great cause in favour of cancelling world debt and providing greater aid to those who need it. Please visit the site and sign the online petition, it only takes a minute to do and is for a good cause.

Thanks. :)

Viscera asked me to post this:

I disagree with this campaign. The campaign asks for the United States to give 1 percent. "ONE percent of the U.S. budget is $25 billion" it says. As it turns out, the United States is already giving $54 billion in aid to foreign countries, and so bringing our aid levels down to $25 billion would mean an aid reduction of 54%, which is something that probably would be unwise in light of famines and food shortages, and get the whole international community angry with us and ruin our reputation. Also I accidently cut off Italy. Also Norway and Luxembourg and Denmark and Sweden and the Netherlands and Portugal give more aid than the U.S., but they don't count because I can't understand what the hell they're saying anyways and they're crazy for some reason or another. Just ask Yog, he's nuts!

I made graphs!

My apologies, it's not simply the One campaign this is about, but the whole Make Poverty History campaign. It's a global effort, not merely a US one, but since the majority of you guys are from the US and Canada, I thought I'd give you the link to your own branch of Make Poverty History.
