View Full Version : Relaxing on Ryloth (Open)

There was never a true night in the habitable areas of Ryloth. One side of the planet always faced the sun; causing it to be a firely land that was uninhabitable. The other side never saw the sun and was nothing but a frozen wasteland that was habitable, but barely so. The population of the planet lived in the "grey" areas. Places directly in betwen the frozen and molten zones were the temperature was slightly hosbitable. Here the planet's santient species, the Twi'lek, lived in homes, that at first, were no more then cave dwellings. Now the Twi'lek had standing buildings aswell as the ones built off the cliff walls.
In a village with buildings, identical to the ones decribed, A overworlder walked. Gavin Ravenna had just finished the first leg of his job. The hidden compartments on his ship were filled with fresh spice that had harvested right here on Ryloth. Gavin was due to return to Zurga the hutt for a few weeks, due to the fact that the beginning of his journey having gone quicker then he had enticipated.
So he decided he had a few days to spent here. Ryloth was not the greatest planet to have a good time, it was no corascant, but for some people, and very few it seemed, enjoyed the somewhat quiet peacefulness. Sure, a bunch of space raiders could pop out of the sky at any moment, but even that had become less likely due to the fact that various crime lords prefered to keep their spice supply well guarded.
Gavin walked down main street of the village until he reached one of the largest standing buildings in the village, the pub. From the outside it looked ordinary and most would take a glance at the village and assume it had no bars, taverns, or pubs. But Gavin had spoken with a few people and finaly located it.
He stepped inside and almost drew his blaster as a figure came lumbering towards him. The drunken, spiced up Bothan staggered past Gavin and fell out the door. Gavin shrugged and walked deeper inside. The place had bad lighting and he could just barely see the walls that stretched out in the darkness. Several shady occupants were clustered around their drinks and talking in low voices and wispers.
Gavin strode right up to the bar and set his weight down an empty bar stool. "Correlian Ale, Bar tender" No hard stuff for him tonight. The last thing he needed was to get drunk and shoat out to the denizens of the pub that he had a ship full of spice in the nearby docking bay.
The ale was set down infront of him and he scooped it up by the handles nad raised it to his lips. After a few moments he layed the empty mug down and wiped his mouth off with the back of his sleeve. "Another" He said to the bartender, a sandy brown twi'lek male with his lektu hanging loose behind his head. A second mug was placed down next to the full one.
Gavin picked this one up but managed to contain himself this time and just sipped the contents. "Blast its hot in here" He mumbled and removed his nerf hide jacket and placed it on the bar next to his drink. With his jacket gone the blaster on his hip was completely visable and a few more wispers went up in the room.
Legion

Legion sat in a dark corner as sweat poured down his face. He was in a foul mood. He hated his existence and all who lived at the moment.
The Voices constantly argued in his head. They never cease to shut up. But he had learned to drone out most of them. There was just the one. "Find DeSang kill him."
He saw the man enter and order his drink as he saw all that entered. His thoughts drifted toward killing every one in here. It would do his head a favor and end there ceaseless chatter.
Legion had no code. He was not evil, he just simply didn't care if you ceased to exist or not. There heartbeats pulsed in his mind agitating him more and more. He calmed himself, blood spilt here would only draw to him unwanted attention from those he sought to hide from.
He had killed many and there where few left. They all went into hiding or ceased to exist. But DeSang ever illusive and crafty. He changed with the times adapting, overcoming, prevailing. He would be the jewel in his crown! A waitress brought him a drink he let the cool liquor cool his seething nerves.

A voice suddenly sparked up, Legion had quite possibly not even noticed the man sitting next to him until the figure had even spoken, had he even been there before or had he just appeared out of thin air?
Impossible to tell now.
' You know General Devious, correct?' Just as he had finished his sentance the hooded figure turned his head to look at legion, the figures sported a blood red mask with a split for view. His eyes still hidden in shadow. ' I hear he has a steak in Oredon, the planet yes?'
The sheer power of his his prensece gave tingles down many of a normal patrons spine, Legion, although different, should be the same none the less. Without another word a full of assumption Stratus raised from his sitting position, cloak whipping so that itcuddled around his body.
' Follow me, we have concerns to discuss.'' With that he began to vacate the bar.

' You know General Devious, correct?'
Legion sat down his drink and looked at the new arrival... His blood grew colder at the mention of DeSang's Title..
' I hear he has a stake in Oredon, the planet yes?'
Legion leapt in fury "Where is he, I will still his cold heart!"
Stratus spoke on. "Follow me, we have concerns to discuss.''
Legion clenched his fist. He followed no man, but this one knew where Dalamar was... He would control himself MAYBE an allegiance would be beneficial. He had worked alone for to long. He would hear this stranger out and see what he had to offer.

' You will listen, and listen well. I am of the Imperial Intelligence and i know more about you than you can imagine. I am more than just that, i think you know what i am, and if you do not, you are more of a fool than what your file says you to be.' The two had retreated into a more quieter section of the bar, but they stood they did not sit, Stratus was here for one thing and one thing only.
He was hardly likely to socialize.
'If you cooperate, we may both have what we want...'
There was a pause, one that was eerie and silent, almost a finality to the whole subject, Legion must have known that this was a Sith, a powerful one that that.
'Do you want your hands on the General?'
He asked this even though the answer was known even before he spoke.

Legion bristled under the mans verbal insults.. But he would bare it. DeSang had been hidden to long. He would make the General pay for cloning him. He had killed all but three of the people he had been cloned after. One by one the voices grew quieter after each death. But DeSangs screamed the loudest of them all. His mind was like liquid mercury...
The others that inhabited his crowded brain listened to his voice. Though Legion would not like to admit it, it gave his mind structure. Still Dalamar was hated most of all. He had caused it vicious, futile existence.. He would be destroyed!
'If you cooperate, we may both have what we want...'
'Do you want your hands on the General?
He clenched his fist to his side. "YES!" Legion's eyes glowed with dark power..

Legion nearly burst with frustration.. "No, I don't know the whereabouts of DeSang!!" He spat out Dalamars last name with disdain, and anger..

' Anger is strong within you, Legion, you are doing well to connect to you're natual side, but it is not me you should direct it towards, it is DeSang.'
He paused for a moment, thinking.
' Do you think you could find him, Legion?' He spoke, his voice purring like a kitten.

Legion answered, Stratus was right after all DeSang was the one who must die."If I could get close enough I would feel his black heart beating and sense some of his thoughts, linked as we are.."
"Can you get me close enough?"

' Oh, i can get you close enough to feel the warmth of his breath, my friend but can you take care of him, Legion, can you use that anger to unsettle him enough? I want rid of him, Legion i want him away from his home...'
He raised a fist and cletched it, his body became tence with anger.
' I want Onderon'

Legion's voice hissed with Venom," Oh really, who is this General protecting?" Fire burned within his gut as he thought inwardly..

' The Queen of that same planet...' he said simply
' I want you to take the general and gain control of the Mandalorians on the planet, them turn them over to me, is that clear?'' His force was forceful and his mind almost dominating that of Legion.

' The Queen of that same planet...'
' I want you to take the general and gain control of the Mandalorians on the planet, them turn them over to me, is that clear?''
Two of the voices in Legions head kneeled to Stratus..In his mind he cold feel the force. "IS THAT CLEAR." Legion however controlled all the voices. Even the ones that submitted to this Sith.
Legion would have killed a lesser man for his arrogant impudence. But Stratus was merely straightforward in what he expected and wanted. Legion could respect that 'but' if he tried to control him again. Legion breathed in and out trying to regain control of the voices. His metalic taloned claw flexed into a steel crushing grip..
Legion only answered. "IT IS CLEAR STRATUS."
Legions self control was monstrous. His every being screamed for blood. Finnally his rage subsided.. Stratus was not his enemy in fact Legion had decided he was his new ally in tracking down the Demon DeSang.

Sting sat quietly as not to be noticed. He sat deep in the darkness and kept to himself..
He watched the procedding with cautious interest...

Gavin watched the two strangers bicker and argue with mild interest. If it wasn't for the spice load; you'd never find him on such a boring planet. Sometimes, despite the good money, smuggling for Zurga was just getting boring. With the empire in such disaray it was easy to smuggler small time stuff like spice. Gavin wanted something more exciting. A cargo worth his skill and experience. A destination that would place him in danger and cause him to use every trick he'd picked up in his career.
He let out a sigh and drained his drink and motioned for another refill. "Pay for the first two first" The tender demanded. "Alright, don't get your tails in a wad." He said as he reached into his pocket and clumsily knocked the large ammout of credits he had, his payment from Zurga, onto the floor in plain view of the many patrons.
He quickly scooped them up and slapped a few credits down on the counter for the tender. He returned the dropped creds to his pocket and picked up his fresh glass and sipped its contents.

"I WILL KILL THE QUEEN, AND SPILL BLOOD ON ONDERON FROM ONE END OF THE KINGDOM TO THE NEXT! I ONLY NEED THE COARDINATE'S."
Sting had heard enough. He moved over to the slightly drunk man at the bar. He had heard him mumbling something about adventure. Sting would never have heard it of course had the man not loudly announced his prescence with the dropping of his credits.
Sting assesed him. He would do, no one would ever suspect this guy. But Sting could see he had that 'something' that would come in handy.
He walked away from Legion and Stratus to the other end of the bar and introduced himself. "Hello, I have a proposition for you."
Gavin Ravenna
Jun 28th, 2005, 09:33:57 PM
Gavin turned his head to face the mysterious man who had just spoken to him. A proposition? for him? He had just been thinking about it and boom, someone had something for him already. Perhaps there was such thing as god, or gods, or maybe just fate. Whatever it was, he could see it making his life better already.
"Hello stanger" He said, taking another sip, "What kind of proposition are we talking about?"
Sting

"The kind that pays well. You see those two rather large men over there." Sting discretely pointed in Legion's and Stratus's direction. "One is about to leave. I will need a fast ship to follow. Are you interested?"
Sting layed a large bag of credits in front of him. "Half now and half when we reach our destination. If you do well maybe I can find a place for you in one of the private organizations that I am affiliated with."
Sting waited for his answer with growing impatience. Legion and Stratus where almost done talking....

Gavin rubbed his stubly chin with his free hand, a thing he did often when thinking hard. He wasn't a slow thinker, as some observers would think, but one who prefered to think a preposition through from all angles.
"A fast ship, you say. Well, my ship isn't the fastest, but it has plenty of space for a passenger and whatever cargo you have." He paused to smile "Which brings us to the subject of; do you have any cargo?"
It sounded like easy money, and the chance of further business with this man's contacts was just too good to pass up. Zurga can go to hell for all Gavin cares. He'd rather have a little excitement and danger, instead of boring leisure.

Sting smiled underneath his mask he was already beginning to like this guy.. "No cargo, but me... I need you to follow this one and draw no attention to us." Sting pointed discreetly at Legion.
"Do you think you can handle it?" Sting let the question hang in the air. He needed a man that would be profesional. Not having any of his own resources currently availaible he would need a good man.

Stratus seemed to be musing over Legion's words. Legion repeated himself.
"I ONLY NEED THE COARDINATE'S." His heart beat faster at the thought of DeSangs death. He could already taste the fear and the blood that would soon be his.
Dhak Kilborn
Jul 17th, 2005, 11:02:22 PM
As Dhak was siping away at his Suubatar Juice, he noticed two men conversing. One look like your run-of-the-mill scoundral, and the other a mercenary. His attention was first taken by the large amount the credits the seemingly normal man dropped. He figured everyone in the cantina saw that. Thousands of credists spread all over the floor around the man. After focusing on the two men, Dhak's Rodian ears could only make out something about following two men to Onderon and not being spotted. Figuring his larger ship, the "Nebula Horizon 2" was too big to follow, his HLAF-500, the "Space Cloud", could.
Slowly standing up, Dhak shoved his chair under the table and took one last sip of the cool Suubatar Juice, and tossed the bar keep a few coins for a tip. As he waited for the slow automated door to slide open Dhak imagined what following the two men could bring him. Maybe one had a bounty on their head, or he could sway from his bounty hunting roots and just kill the two men and loot their ships.
After the door finaly opened two Imperial Stormtroopers walked in. "Stormtroopers, out here, why would the Empire be worried about Ryloth when it was about to fall to the Skywalkers and their rebs?" Dhak thought to himself. When he reached the "Space Cloud", Dhak removed all the refuel pumps, and looked at the gauge on the refueler. He only paid for six hundred credits worth, but it charged him more then normal. "Maybe fuel was high here," he thought.
Gases sprayed out of the bottom of the ship and it rocketed back into space. After a few moments, the "Nebula Horizon 2" was finally in view. Since having the ship orbiting the planet and running the risk of being roasted in the light side of the planet, it was floating just out side of the planet's gravitational field. A bit longer flight but it was worth it.
"Wrench", "Bolt", and "Torch" had kept the ship in the exact same location. And when it came to those three droids, when Dhak said exact they would keep it exact. Running around the ship is what the three seemed best at.
"Nebula Horizon 2" (http://images.swcombine.com/ships/63/large.jpg)
The Barloz-class Freighter was salvaged from a Corellian ship yard around the time of the Battle of Yavin by Dhak's friend Mutdah Raa, a Sulistan smuggler. The two were able to use it as their own personal space bearing garage. After the distruction of the "Nebula Horizon 1" in the Battle of Nar Shaddaa, an ATR formerly used by the Empire, the "Nebula Horizon 2", or "Nebula 2", stored both Dhak and Mutdah's fighters. Previously used for legitimate use, the "Nebula 2" is now Dhak's base of operations for the Kilborn Klan.
Now inside his main ship, Dhak ran past "Wrench". "Wrench, get to the nav center, start monitoring every ship that leaves this planet. I'm looking for a moderatly fast ship with possibly quiet a bit of cargo and two passengers. They might be tailing another ship. Call me if you find anything of the sort." "Yes sir, right away." And with that Dhak and "Wrench" jogged off to different parts of the ship.
