Her dark green army tank top clung to her body as she took off her leather jacket, letting it fall over the seat of her speed bike. Lifting a hand over her forehead, she sighed, pushing her dark shades on the top of her head to push back the long strands of black hair that covered her face. The heat was becoming unbearable. Even this genetically engineered killing machine couldn't keep her body temperature low enough to fight off this heat. Today wasn't a good day to wear a pair of tight black leather pants and boots either. She sighed. There were days when she really felt like shooting herself in the head. No plants needed more than one sun. Damn Tatooine.

She grabbed a large backpack that hung from the bike and swung it over her shoulder. Her speeder had just died now, the piece of junk, leaving her stranded in a damned desert. It didn't sound like many ships or travelers were going to pass by and she needed to get to the nearest city before she passed out by the heat. She also needed to reload on her equipment and tryptophan pills. She'd still be good for another day or so.

Suddenly, the faint sound of an engine roared in the background. The roaring gradually got louder, demonstrating that it was getting nearer and nearer. The corner of her lips curled into a grin. Finally. She held up her thumb and hoped for the best.

From around the corner of a rock outcropping; a speeder bike was visable, roaring over the sand dunes. The pilot's long dark hair was flying out behind his head as he flew over the hot sands. His black pants, sleevless shirt, and boots were covered in dirt and dust, his shirt was drenched in sweat. A sword was strapped onto his back and a blaster was holstered at his side. Zereth Lancer was still on Tatooine since his adventure to find the mysterious calling he'd felt through the force, after discovering it and completing his journey he had returned to anchor head but had not felt like returning to the Sith Order yet. He had remained on tatooine for almost a month now, doing small jobs to make the credits he needed to stay at his shabby appartment.

He was not retuning from delivering equipment to a moistier farm from a manafacturer in Anchorhead. He was just about to apply more power to the thrust when he spotted a none figure standing out in the sands. "People these days" He muttered to himself before turning his speeder and heading towards the stranded person. As he neared he noticed that the person was a woman and by the looks of it her speeder bike had broke down.

He stopped his bike infront of the woman and swung off the side. He offered no smile or any thing to indicate to the stranded woman that he was even there to help. "In a bit of trouble are we?" He asked as he wiped the sweat from his forehead and shifted his weight from one foot to the other, trying to find a more comfortable standing position on the sands below his boots. His ruby red eyes focused on her's for a moment before shifting over to look at her damaged speeder, it was bloody hard to keep a speeder in working order, the sands destroyed them as fast as you could fix them.

"No, I just like letting myself boil in this heat." Eve couldn't help but let her voice drown in sarcasm.

If the man wasn't happy about helping a Sith in need, then he shouldn't have stopped at all. The Sith Knight took a step back from him unconsciously, not wanting to be too physically close to him nor having him too close to herself. The temperature made people want to be deserted from each other, in fear of generating more body heat. She then lifted her hand to wipe off the sweat from her forehead before passing her fingers over the top of her burning head. The heat was gradually becoming unbearable.

"I just need a ride to the next city. It shouldn't take more than 15 or 20 minutes." She finally added, indifferently. If he didn't want to help, she couldn't do anything about that.

Something about her seemed strange, but Zereth couldn't put his finger on it. He decided on playing things safe. He leaned against his speeder and said nothing for several minutes. He just stood there and stroke his chin with his forefinger as he thought for a moment. "I'm going to Anchorhead, Its a little further then the closest city but its better then walking." He outstretched his hand "Zereth Lancer, but to the locals I am know as Ha-Raphah" A title he had acuired during his adventure among the tusken raiders. Ha-Raphah translated into The fearsome one. "I'd make it a habit to know the people I give rides too, safer that way."

He was certainly far from normal. Either way, Eve shook his hand. "Eve Siren." She didn't have any special titles.

It didn't take her long to feel from the warmth of his palm that he was a Sith Knight, just as her. Whether or not they equaled in strength, she couldn't calculate - after all, it wasn't hard to see that he was much taller and more muscular than her. Her petite figure gave her a weak look, but she wasn't promoted to Knight for nothing. Tilting her head to the side as a swift breeze of hot air blew by, she groaned, finally retrieving her hand to pull back her hair from her face. "Anywhere to get out of this heat."

Zereth felt something strange when their hands connected. He wasn't as attuned to feeling things through the force as others, his skills lying in the offensive and combat areas of the force rather then the ability to 'sense' things. He brushed a strand of hair from his face and wiped the glowing sweat off his forehead with the back of his hand. Just like wiping his forehead; he wiped away his thoughts of the strange feeling. He assumed the heat was getting to him.

"Just climb on the back and we're off" He said as he turned around and threw his leg over the speeder and sat down behind the controls. He looked over his shoulder at the rear of the speeder bike. There was more then enough room for her to sit behind him. As he warmed up the engines a savage roar bellowed through the dunes "Is it Krayt Dragon mating season already?" He mumbled to himself and increased the speed in which he got the bike ready.

OOC - Really sorry.

"Seems like it's Krayt Dragons' mating season." Eve commented as she followed his instructions.

Since her senses were genetically enhanced, it wasn't a problem for her to overhear what he was saying. However, she didn't want to seem rude. She had heard him mumble discreetly before turning up the speed to his engine. The howling sent chills down her spine as she positioned herself on the seat behind Zereth. She wasn't scared of those giant dragons, but the howling always got to her. Leaning forward, she awkwardly put her hands on his shoulders. She didn't want to wrap her arms around his waist, since the heat was increasing gradually and becoming, as progressively, unbearable.

"Ready." She said, though he didn't ask.
