Saw that scene in his program, and it's fake as fake can get.

Regardless of whether or not its fake, Derren puts on a good show, and I found it entertaining.

I do have to say it's interesting....but good to hear it's fake.

You have to question psychology and hypnotism used on random people coming into a bar. If those were my friends and they figured out what he was doing they probably would have broke that guys nose.

Some of his work is apsaloutly incredible and i and my friend have seen him in show at the Hexigan in Reading, but that particuler scene was so clearly fake and when a man of his talent resorts to having to fake something like that it takes the magic out of what he tries to achieve.

Why do you think it's fake?

I have a nack of being quite observant and there is three thins that bother me. His friends quite conveniantly go along with the whole thing without a batter of concern or worry on their faces at all.

Also watch his face as he is 'clicked' out and in to his trance, he's almost laughing and enjoying that hes the centre of attention, also if he was within a real trance dont you thin he would bea little more battle prone to the entire situation, punching, kicking, biting when they got near him?

he would do a hell of alot more than just go ' oh no, zombies after me'

I'm not surprised they go along with it, really. It's Derren Brown. That aside, you can see them looking quite anxious when the camera shows them watching him trying to fend off the zombies.

As for what his reaction would be to zombies coming after him... you can't really say accurately how he would react. Everyone would react differently. Then again, since he believes he's in a zombie video game, you could assume that he's played that sort of thing before and therefore knows what zombies are like - in that punching, kicking, etc is fruitless :p

Remember, the trance he is put into isn't to turn him into some battle ready zombie killer. It's just putting him, as he naturally is, into a room filled with zombies ,with a gun in his hand. I think he reacts quite naturally, personally.

That would be an awesome video game!

But, I agree with Zabian - it's a fake. I think this guy is just trying to screw with our heads.

To me it looked like the only "hypnotism" was initially when he was put into the trance, then the horn woke him out of it in the 'zombie room.' Hell, I'd freak out too if people were coming at me like that. Then Derren put him back into a trance and they popped him back into the pub, where he wakes up and... thinks it was part of the game? Or perhaps doesnt' remember.

It was pretty cool though - but I'm glad it wasn't me. :p

I don't know, it could possibly be that he actually was hypnotized while the 'zombies' were after him. I haven't seen Derren Brown at a show, but I've seen a similar hypnotist, Dr. Jim Wand. I actually had a chance to be hypnotized, the man had me, and about 20 other volunteers, doing to craziest stuff. At least thats what my parents told me, I can't remember a darn thing from the hour and a half span of time span that I was out.

The absolute worst thing, that I actually have on video, is when he made me and several of my friends think we were N'Sync members and had us sing (and dance) one of their songs.

I'ts not that i dont trust in hypnotisim, dont get me wrong i just dont like the way he performed his sleeping methord on A) A unsuspecting member of the public and B) The poor acting in which everything seemed to happed, i mean the guy is nearly laughing most of the way thorugh it, particuly when hes coming in and out of the trance.

I've seen mr.Brown though and most of the time hes bloody brillient (esa' quote from Mr.Ron Weasly)
