Hurukan

Character name: “Hurukan”
Character Profile: The phrase ‘silent but deadly’ seems an all too apt description of the Seyugi Dervish “Hurukan”. Typically clad in the garb of the ancient cult, a red robe and white mask, he seems strange to most. Often cold and guarded, with little to say, it would not be difficult to think that he has something to hide.
Character History: Many, many years ago an ancient cult known as the Seyugi Dervishes were considered amongst the finest assassins in the galaxy, hiring their services to the Core Worlds wealthiest inhabitants. Hailing from many different backgrounds and species, the Seyugi began their training at an early age. The one known as Hurukan was no different. Raised on the cult’s base world of Recopia, all his time was devoted to training and developing his skills. Like all Seyugi, Hurukan was instructed in basic understanding of the Force, though the assassins considered it merely an augmentation of their other skills – more a meditative tool than anything else.
The Seyugi maintained a profitable existence until the intervention of the Jedi Knights. The lightsiders, unable to stand by and allow the Force to be used as the tool of killers, were swift in their destruction of the cult. One cell, however, was not destroyed – the secret base, hidden beneath the fortress at Mallif Cove. There, hibernation chambers held the surviving Seyugi in stasis, frozen in carbonite. It is from this deep slumber that the Dervish Hurukan has awoken.
Character Motivations: With his fellow assassins (like family to him) slain by the Jedi, Hurukan no longer has any allegiance. Though he at first considered the possibility of becoming a ronin assassin, his desire for revenge on the Jedi for their obliteration of the Seyugi mixed with his own natural curiosity towards the Force lead him instead to seek out the Sith Order.
Character Skills: Hurukan’s skills lay in the areas focused upon by the Seyugi – stealth and close combat. The Dervishes were renowned for being formidable opponents in melee combat – it was often said that though they could be outrun, once you were confronted head-on by a member of the cult, death was certain. He is a keen swordsman, agile and precise.
Why should we accept you: Hurukan’s training with the Seyugi has given him discipline and self-control. Though he harbours hatred for the Jedi, his anger is harnessed. He approaches everything with an eye for efficiency, not the recklessness that has been the downfall of Sith before him.

Do you understand that your application can be rejected: Yes.
Have you read the rules: Yes. After all, I did write them.
EDIT: Just a note - I'm going to play this character as already having some experience in the Force, obviously, so he is going to be about Knight level, though he will still require training to turn that ability from raw "talent" as it were into actual Sith ability.
