1. Mr. and Mrs. Smith - 35.85M
2. Madagascar - 18.44M
3. Revenge of the Sith - 14.71M
4 The Longest Yard - 13.45M
5 Cinderella Man - 12.85M
The question is will the other two films do anything? The Honeymooner sounds awful and I haven't seen a single add around here. Shark Boy and whatever looks like it was created by a 5 year old so I see that doing poorly as well.

Thats huge for a friday. Look out for 50M+ weekend, maybe even close to 60. I guess the crowds get attracted by the summer popcorn blockbuster feel of it and that its the one major movie released this weekend.
Also looks like Shark Boy whatever it is going to take 5th spot, sneaking up behind ROTS..
Estimates for Friday, June, 10, 2005
MR. AND MRS SMITH 18.6 18.6
MADAGASCAR 5.0 116.4
LONGEST YARD THE 4.4 109.1
STAR WARS: EPISODE III - REVENGE OF THE SITH 4.0 321.3
ADVENTURES OF SHARK BOY & LAVA GIRL, THE 3.9 3.9
CINDERELLA MAN 2.9 27.7
SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING PANTS, THE 2.0 20.0

That's a 41% drop from last Friday for ROTS. Not terrible, but I was hoping for a drop in the 30's(especially with Batman Begins on the horizon).

Agreed. Especially concidering that AOTC actually had only a 33% drop and TPM had 23.4%.
Oh, crap, scratch that. I was reading thursday drop. AOTC only had a 27% drop, which makes it even worse.

Well, it did lose some screens this weekend...my theater is down to just one screen, plus one more late evening screen in another auditorium. Although, looking at the numbers at BO Mojo, it didn't lost as many screens as I thought it might have.
It is losing major steam, no doubt about that. It's disappointing, to be sure, but I think it's a given that it will pass The Lion King and Forrest Gump this weekend to become #12 on the all-time list. And it'll keep plugging along making a few million every weekend as long as it's still in theaters, because of folks like us who are seeing it multiple times :). My prediction of a final take of between $360 and $375 million still seems quite realistic, which would put it in the top 10. And it's still much more profitable than a lot of other blockbusters out there, since the production budget was only $113 million, which is a pittance compared to a lot of other movies nowadays.
I'm not surprised that Mr. and Mrs. Smith will probably end up with $50-$60 million this weekend, because that's kind of what I'd figured. (Not that I'm usually that on the money for predictions.) But it's going to take a hard hit (as will everything else) when Batman Begins comes out on Wednesday.

ROTS should make between 13 and 14.5 for the weekend which is a decent drop, it should hit 375 at least in my opinion. As I said before the movie being a downer and dark is hurting it. It is no uplifting movie which will get a lot of repeat buisness except from the diehards. Mr and Mr Smith is unbelievable. I thought maybe it would do 40 but 50 I thought was far fetched.

What about Cinderella Man? Wow 47% drop that is horrible for that kind of film. It must be the bad publicity that Crowe is getting for throwing the telephone. I think people hate him at the moment.
