First order of business, then.

Hopefully, I'm not treading on anyone's toes here but I just thought it would be prudent to start planning, as soon as possible, what the Black Sun are going to be doing collectively and, as Vigos and their henchmen, independently.

My character, Nyax, will be working albeit reluctantly for Sorsha and his skills will be very basic for the time being. He's young, aggressive and confrontational, but smart and power-hungry. I imagine he could fit into pretty much any of the Black Sun's dealings for the time being and, as long as Vigo Kasajian has no objections, am willing to have his skills put to good use for other Vigos.

That aside, we need to discuss, if it hasn't already been done and I've completely missed it (:eek) the current state of the Black Sun. Presumably, a crime organisation such as this would thrive off the current galactic state of affairs, taking advantage of the flailing Imperial rule, and thusly law enforcement, and benefiting from the Rebellions need for supplies and a plethora of other things. Maintaining intergalactic unrest would benefit the Black Sun best, I would imagine.

How do you think we could go about doing this, guys, if this were to be the plan? And what ideas did you guys have?

Thank you for starting this thread. I appreciate it since my mind has been frazzled the last few days for personal reasons.

I like your train of thought. There is a lot of money out there with the cival unrest created by Endor... The Rebels would be very desperate to pay us mucho credits for supplies. Martial Law has been declared too and that will make things really tense in the galaxy. Smugglers are going to have a hard time getting things done ... but the Black Sun shouldnt since there is an Imperial funding them secretly.

Miranda is funding Sorsha quiet like. A silent partner until she wants her presence known. I think that helping the Rebels and gaining their trust would make her quite happy so she can gather Intel to give to the Empire ;)

Sasseeri is laundering her money and fronting her drug runs through a network of casinos on several key worlds.

I don't know, however, how to work in the flailing of the Empire. Other than, drug use is up!

I believe Miranda will find her way into a casino sometime later the day the Empire annouces the Emperor's death. She needs to drink and have fun and attempt to get over the loss of daddy

Grym, before he begins to work for Black Sun, is already putting his foot in the door as far as Glitterstim goes. As other spices tend to come and go to similar areas, I'm sure it won't be the sole thing he'll be dealing in but I do know it will be his specialty in trade.

He also plans to keep himself finely tuned as a hitman so whichever Vigos or both will find a use for him later? He's not to be confused with a bounty hunter and does more proffesional clean up jobs, generally alone if he can. Nor his he really interested in rising in power, at least he doesn't display it. His ambition lies in his loyalty towards the Vigos. He has a few other things going for him but that involves other individuals.

Of course, this is once I RP him into the Black Sun. :D

In the past Gavin was a space pirate, although not a very good one when it came to fighting. He then became a Hutt Lacky and smuggled spice for a hutt lord. His piloting skills, guile, and stealth make him a great smuggler.

I'm not too sure how I'm going to RP him joining Black Sun. Perhaps his hutt lord could have learned about Black Sun, Gaving overhears him, dumps his old job and goes looking for Black Sun, finds Black sun (or they find him, however it works) and joins Black Sun.

I don't know really. I guess its more up to the leaders of Black Sun.

I'm open for anything to get this place a going and just for the record, never been big on leadership stuff. Sass, Sorsha and myself are IC leaders... everyone has a say OOC far as I'm concerned. Long as it makes sense and everyone is having fun. all good.

Yeah, I have one more character slot as well, and I'm more than willing to make another for Black Sun if needed. I agree that something needs to be started soon as well as every other group is moving into motion it seems and I think Black Sun would be scrambling to find their a better foot hold in the Empire's galaxy now with the Emperor AND Vader gone.

Miranda keeps her image clean as an Imperial, but she also has people doing her favors since she got them out of trouble. She of course, will direct you to a lovely place where your talents can be of use

To add to what Navaria said, later today I will be starting a thread in which Nyax is arrested during a raid on an underground pit-fghting club. Miranda will use her power to have him released and in order to repay the favour, Nyax will reveal a scheme to gain both power and profit and will offer her a cut of the deal.

What I have in mind is taking control of a weapons or vehicles manufacturer and supplying the Rebllion with much needed supplies. Simultaneously, in order to maintain an equilibrium between the Empire and Rebellion, the Black Sun could strike a deal with a Coruscant entrepreneur and take a stronghold in the raw materials trade; specifically, the raw materials source used by the Rebellion's largest supplier of weapons. This company loses it's chief supplier of materials and becomes redundant.

Thus, not only will the Black Sun have shares in a new source for raw materials being routed towards the Empire but will also be able to hold a monopoly on providing the Rebellion with weapons at higher prices. A win-win situation for the Black Sun: feeding off the competing factions' misfortunes.

I am a bit confused but I want to clarify. We make a deal with some businessman, therefore they pull out of supplying raw materials to said company ( who is helping the rebellion). because of this... the Rebels are up dren creek?

Am I paraphrasing correctly? :) I think I am. Therefore we would -

A. Own a nice company supplying weapons

B. in league with another company that promotes helping the Empire in raw materials.

Therefore, it looks as if their supplier has to increase prices because they need to look elsewhere, but in reality, we're supplying ourselves with the materials anyway

Well, since the thread is open, I'll see where it goes. The scenario has potential for some open-ended roleplaying and the sudden Imperial raid will prove to be a nice twist halfway through. The roleplay should end, as far as Nyax is concerned, with him and Miranda working out a deal.

Erm... to be honest, I'm not sure. Sorry, I haven't been very clear. Let's see:

1. Nyax/Miranda will take control of a weapons manufacturer and supply the Rebels with it on a small scale. Henceforth known as Company X.

2. Form relations with a wealthy entrepreneur and persuade him to join forces with Nyax and Miranda in order to buy out a company devoted to harvesting raw materials essential to the production of weapons manufacturing. Henceforth known as Company Y.

3. Company Y is the key supplier of Company Z. Company Z is the chief supplier of weapons to the Rebellion and is therefore no longer able to provide weapons on a large scale to the Rebels since it's primary source of materials essential to weapons manufacturing now provides for the Empire instead.

4. Company X will therefore become the primary source of weapons for the Rebellion, which allows it to up it's prices and milk the Rebellion for every penny it's worth. Company Y will no longer provide for Company Z and will instead provide for an Imperial weapons manufacturer.

5. Company X and Y will become Black Sun corporations. Company Z will become redundant.

Sorsha intends to call a meeting for all Black Sun members, basically proclaiming herself as the dominant feline and boss of all bosses and letting people decide whether they're with her, or against her. ;) Failing that, the hostile takeover tour begins.

She's also setting up some lesser (NPC/written bosses) to suffer the consequences of doing things the hard way, via gangland style raids.

Also need to get a thread started with Clive and Raunkks to get them into the action.

Just to let you know how im going to Rp Frakorr into Black Sun, as iv already said I would like to set up and run a small shipping company. Well my idea so far is that Grym Kandles spice trading, drags my character into the organisation. Hopefully that will be worked on soon.

As to general ideas, not a serious idea but why dont we do an Rp in a club with all of us involved. Iv taken the idea from the Empire Day Ball I was involved in over at the Soveriegnty with my other character. Just transfered it to more of a Black Sun theme.

Well, perhaps a ball of some kind that will have many notorious officials there, but isn't proven. Coruscant authorities will look the otherway because they know who is running the show.

Having it strickly Black Sun would be like having a bullseye on the organization, but say... a fundraiser sponsored by one of our legitimate fronts would be good for PR ;)

Well, if we do the ball-meeting-thingy, I think I might try Rping Gavin into Black Sun at this event.

Gavin will come to the "ball" as the representative of Zurga the Hutt, the small crime lord he works for. Gavin will speak with a black sun person, a higher rank prefered, and get them interested in working with Zurga, trading, selling, buying supplies and whatnot.

Perhaps Black Sun could buy low grade weapons from Zurga to sell to the rebels at a higher price. Gavin will stay with Black sun to oversee that Zurga's "stuff" gets where its suppost to be and while he's with black sun he could offer his smuggling skills to those in charge.

I dunno, what do you guys think? It doesn't really have to be at the ball, it could be that Black Sun knows about Zurga already and seek a meeting with Zurga's representive to talk it over.

He is going to threaten, cajoole, bribe, kill with impunity. His attitude is that he is a rising young star in Black Sun. He is anxious to establish a bigger name for himself than he already has. Once a succesful bounty hunter, mercenary. His sights are high as is his attitude.

Sting is the very image of professionlism. He gets the job done underbudget and under the Deadline. Hmmm I think that I will start an rp where he is already trying to carve something for himself. Something that gets him noticed. Maybe a conflict with Black Sun. Where they give HIM an offer he can't refuse. Join us or Die.

Iv started work on a back story for Frakorr. Im not sure if I should start him off with just one small frieghter like he used to have, or would anybody have any objections to me starting off with a single transport such as the Rebel transports in episodes 4-6 (A Gallofree Yards Medium Transport.) Its not to large with a crew of seven but I thought this would be better for me to start off my company with.
