Dagobah,

Crash site.

Two X-wings lye motionless in the swampy terrain, scorch marks show the recent laser fire taken from a space battle. Suddenly without notice, the hatch of one of the X-wing pops open as a man in an all black jump suit gasps for air, blood covering the side of his face. He releases the latch on his safety harness and begins to climb out of his fighter onto the ground, trying to make his way over to his friend’s fighter as he falls into the water. He wades through the swamp until he makes his way around the ship to the hatch, where he sees what was once his best friend, body incinerated. The glass of the hatch is broken, entry into the atmosphere of the planet super heated the inside, making it a giant oven.

“Krwl…”

The man, Lance Casey, has known many harsh things in his short life, hell; he was the cause of most of it, but to lose someone he was close to after the events of this past year, there was not much left of the man inside. Casey, deciding that there is nothing left for him to do, begins to swim away from his dead friend back to his own fighter, with was lucky enough to hit dry land. Casey gets to the shore, crawling on his hands and knees to his wrecked fighter. Getting to his feet, Casey gets back into the cockpit of his fighter and runs a diagnostic on his ship. The droid runs it, revealing that despite the quick hyperspace jump and the crash, only the forward stabilizers and the hyperdrive needed to be fixed. The hyperdrive would be tougher than the stablizers, but the parts could be salvaged from Krwl’s wrecked wing. Casey shuts down the wing to conserve power.

“Need to set up camp until the morning.”

The repairs would have to wait until the morning. Casey’s injury would need to be treated to. Casey began to get to work, unloading his survival gear from his ship. Being in the profession of providing transport to refugee ships meant that he always needed enough equipment in case he and Krwl had to make a quick run after the job was completed. This meant to be the job that got them back into the game after. Casey bit back on that thought, the feelings that it brought and the physical pain it brought. Casey got back to work unloading, paying no attention to a blue light shining from the forest.

*Begin Dream Sequence*

Casey stares down at his black flight gloves as the dash of his fighter begins to blink red. He looks up to see swarms of Tie's circling around a huge refugee transport and start to open fire on the vessel. Krwl's voice echo's over the radio

"You failed them Casey, you failed me, and now you are going to rot. You hear me? R..o..t

*end Dream sequence*

Casey snaps out of his sleep and sits straight up, his face and body covered in sweat. Casey looks down at his hands. No gloves. He looks at his surroundings, a tent meant o keep out the wildlife that dwells in this enviroment. Casey swings his legs over the side of his cot and rops his hadn into his head.

"What the hell am I going to do now? Where do i go from here?"

Casey stands and put's on his jacket and steps out of the tent looking around the terrain, all the while a light buzz in the back of his head. Casey looks around his campsite, trying not to look at his fallen comrades ship. He might have to salvage parts from it but for tonight he can't look at it. As Casey looks around rain begins to fall around him. Casey justs lowers his head and looks at the ground, clenching his fists. He rasies arms in the arm and begins to scream. Casey begins to through boxes around and proceeds to rip down his tent. His breathing heavy casey begins to walk away from his camp site, content to just rot on this planet.

"Screw life."

Casey begins to walk into the woods when out of the corner of his eye, he see's a blue light. Casey, noticing that it is artificial begins to trek over to the light. After a good twenty minutes of walking, not because of distance but the amoutn of foiliage, reaches the source of the light, a simple abode in the jungle. His curioisity peaked, Casey walks around the abode and find a small door.

"What the hell."

Casey enters the dwelling, having to crough downto fits. Inside, he see's what created the light. It was a small cube. And the glowing was becoming more intense. Casey, not knowing what it was, reached over to the cube. Just as he was about to touch it, the cube began to hover and spin and out of nowhere, the image of a small alien appeared and began to speak.

"Jedi Master Yoda am I. In this holocron, place the ways of the Force I do. Welcome young force user to your first lesson"

Casey just stared in bewilderment. Force user. He had never felt...until a year ago when..the screams..the pain he felt. It triggered it..awoke it..made him receptive to it that dark day.

"I..I can't be I should have felt something earlier..this is....

The hologram began to speak again.

"Mistake this is not, force user you are. Trainning must begin, Jedi must return, peace they must bring. All the lessons you must learn, inside this holocron they are.

Casey"How can I learn if I can't ask you questions?"

Holocron"Recpetive to active questioning is it, but within reason."

Casey"Why do I hear their voices in my mind, their screams?"

Holocron" In time, answers to all your questions you will have"

Casey looks down at the image. Ever since last year, he has been searching for what caused his nightmares and for ways to atone for what he has done. With this, he might accomplish both.

Casey"Alright, let's get started."

Holocron "Sure, are you? Once taken, this path cannot be undone, future events in motion will be."

Casey "I'm sure."

Holocron "Then so begins the training shall"

Suddenly without warning, a sharp blue light beams out of the holocron, beaming directly into Casey's forehead. The surrounding of the small dwelling begin to fade away into darkness. At first, Casey believes that he is losing conscousness, but the dark soon turns into a blue, glowing aura. Casey looks down at his hands to discover that he has turned blue, just light Yoda's holocron projection.

Yoda" Suprised you are. Not expecting this you were."

Casey" Well when you said trainning, I figured you would give me tasks to complete, maybe some written and oral test..."

Yoda"A time to joke this is not. Serious, this trainning is. In the old day's, trainned from birth would you have been. But dark days these are and time is short, trainning must be rushed.

Casey"Rushed?"

Yoda"Time is short, years it would take before you knew all. The basics you must learn. Mind over flesh, felling the force around you, learning to not know fear. The rest, the living force will ahve to provide, your journies, your classroom, experiences, your lessons. Life, your master"

Casey looks at the small alien and nods.

Casey"I'm ready"

Yoda"Then let the trainning begin."

A bright circle begins to form around Casey, and keeps getting brighter. The last thing Casey see's before is mind is opened to a whole new world is the bright light of the force.

One Week Later.

Yoda:That is all you must know.

The blue light dissapates and Casey slowly lowers onto the floor, weak. The past week as been a blur, littered with a few moments of lucidity. But he had changed, he could hear things in his mind and sense thing around him, but he could not control it.

Casey: I can feel it inside of me. But there is something wrong.

Yoda: The knowledge you may have, but control you do not. As your wisdom grows, your connection to the force shall grow, only then will you be able to control the force.

Casey: I have all this knowledge, but no way of using it?

Yoda: While able to use the force you are, small is your connection. Skills beyond lifting and dueling are above you. Perhaps in time, through continued trainning will you be able access all of your powers.

Casey: But I thought this was the trainn...

Yoda: No more questions. Time is growing short, and two important lessons you still ahve yet to learn.

Casey: Yes?

Yoda: Beware of the dark side. Anger. Fear. To ruin these will lead you.

Casey: And the other lesson...

Yoda: Your lightsaber.

Suddenly, Casey is pulled out of the illusion to awaken back in the little shack deep in the jungle. Casey rises to his feet as the blue holocron projects the image of Yoda once more.

Yoda: In the ceramic jar in the corner, the parts you will find for your light saber. Use the knowledge you have to build your weapon, for your life, it shall be.

Casey walks over to the ceramic jar and takes off the lid. Inside is a lens, a silver focusing crystal, and energy cell and a casing.

Casey: I will master.

Yoda: A request I have of you, my pupil.

Casey: Yes?

Yoda: Take this holocron from here with you on your journies.

Casey: Why?

Yoda: You will know why, the force will reveal it to you.

The hologram disappears and the light inside the holocron fades. Casey picks up the small cube and places it inside a pouch in his flight suit. Looking down at the ligh saber sparts, Casey empties out the jar and begins to build his weapon, as he will soon fix his ship and leave this planet.
