We've been spoiled these last few years with the Prequels, LOTR, and even the Matrix trilogy. We've got some decent comic book movies to look forward to, Batman, Supes, Spidey3, and X-Men 3, but it does feel like we've turned a corner. :(

It does feel kind of odd to no longer have any major geek movies like LOTR, Matrix, or Star Wars to look forward to. :(

I'm sure one will come along within the next few years. I hope. :(

Well, I'm looking forward to Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, but admittedly not with the same fervor as I've always looked forward to SW movies. So it does feel like an era has come to an end. :\

BTW, back to comic strips...did anybody here see Foxtrot for the entire week before ROTS came out, where Jason got his Vader voice changer helmet stuck on his head? That was pretty rich stuff. :lol

I think the Harry Potter books have more that geekness fell like waiting for star wars movies. Like people countdown for the new book going to midnight parties etc. The movies so far haven't reached that level at least not in the U.S they are way more popular overseas.

I was reading in Advertising Age that Bungie and Microsoft are currently sending out feelers for a Halo movie. But as we have seen with our Res: Evil moves I'm not real excited about that

I'm admittedly a raving Harry Potter loon and am as giddy about reading the new books and seeing the new films as I am with all thing Star Wars. Same goes Superman and me, though. See the avatar?

As for other big geek trips; how about the Chronicles of Narnia or His Dark Materials? Granted, the Dark Materials film isn't due until 2007 but still, something to look forward to if you enjoyed the books.

Narnia's got my interest piqued, so we'll see.

I'm much more interested in Serenity though!

Every time I've attempted to watch Firefly, I can't make it past the first episode. :\

I dont see anything high on my "geek meter" for quite a while unfortunately. The exception is perhaps Superman, King Kong and War of the Worlds.
