Robert Johnson, Eric Clapton and Jimi. Eric Johnson is right up there too, fighting to replace one of them :). But the list is constantly expanding. For example, although he isn't in my top five, I have a grand fondness for Angus Young because he was the first guy I tried to imitate. Led Zeppelin is one of my favorite bands, so I enjoy Jimmy Page (most of the time). I enjoy Stevie Ray Vaughan.
Chuck Berry has some wicked moments as does Duane Allman (let's not forget sweet Dickey Betts), and Santana of course.
I've recently been aquainted with Warren Haynes, another gooder. And Mark Knopfler.

Please, leave all overcoats, canes and top hats with the doorman.
And from that moment, you'll be out of place and underdressed.
I'm wrecking this evening already and loving every minute of it.
Ruining this banquet for the mildly inspiring and...
When you're in black slacks with accentuating, off-white, pinstripes
Whoa, everything goes according to plan.
I am the new cancer, never looked better, you can't stand it.
Because you say so under your breath.
You're reading lips "When did he get at all confident?"
Haven't you heard that I'm the new cancer?
Never looked better, and you can't stand it
Next is a trip to the, the ladies room in vain, and
I bet you just can't keep up (keep up) with these fashionistas, and
Tonight, tonight you are, you are a whispering campaign.
I bet to them your name is "Cheap", I bet to them you look like -Swear-.
Talk to the mirror, choke back tears.
And keep telling yourself that "I'm a diva!"
Oh and the smokes in that cigarette box on the table,
they just so happen to be laced with nitroglycerin.
I am the new cancer, never looked better, you can't stand it.
Because you say so under your breath.
You're reading lips "When did he get at all confident?"
Haven't you heard that I'm the new cancer?
Never looked better, and you can't stand it
Haven't you heard that I'm the new cancer?
I've never looked better, and you can't stand it
Haven't you heard that I'm the new cancer?
I've never looked better, and you can't stand it
And I know, and I know, it just doesn't feel like a night out with no one sizing you up.
I've never been so surreptitious, so of course you'll be distracted when I spike the punch.
And I know, and I know, it just doesn't feel like a night out with no one sizing you up.

^ Oh god, I saw Panic! at the Disco in concert earlier this month. I swear I wouldn't have been surprised if I (19) was the oldest person there. It was completely packed full of little screaming girls. It reminded me of when I saw the Backstreet Boys when I was about 9 ^_^; Still, they make some freakin catchy, danceable songs! "It's Time to Dance" makes me go :crack

Seriously, I can't tell the difference between FOB and P@TD. I kept expecting the guy from Panic! to start singing "Am I more than you bargained for yet?!" It's not just the singers voice that's similar, but the whole sound of their songs. Even right down to the stupidly long song titles. I suppose it's no suprise though, since Panic! are signed onto the record label started by the bassist from Fall Out Boy.

Crüxshadows - Winterborn (Subway to Sally Mix)
Dry your eyes and quietly bear this pain with pride
For heaven shall remember the silent and the brave
And promise me they will never see, the fear within our eyes
(my eyes are closed)
We will give strength to those who still remain
So bury fear, for fate draws near
And hide the signs of pain
With noble acts, the bravest souls
Endure the heart's remains
Discard regret, that in this debt
A better world is made
That children of a newer day might remember
And avoid our fate
(I've waited all day in the pouring rain, but nobody came, no, nobody came)
And in the fury of this darkest hour
We will be your light
You've asked me for my sacrifice
And I am Winter born
Without denying, a faith is come
That I have never known
I hear the angels call my name
And I am Winter born
Hold your head up high-for there is no greater love
Think of the faces of the people you defend
(you defend)
And promise me, they will never see the tears within our eyes
(my eyes are closed)
Although we are men, with mortal sins, angels never cry
So bury fear, for fate draws near
And hide the signs of pain
With noble acts, the bravest souls
Endure the heart's remains
Discard regret, that in this debt
A better world is made
That children of a newer day might remember
And avoid our fate
And in the fury of this darkest hour
We will be your light
You've asked me for my sacrifice
And I am Winter born
Without denying, a faith in God
That I have never known
I hear the angels call my name
And I am Winter born
And in the fury of this darkest hour
I will be your light
A lifetime for this destiny
For I am Winter born
And in this moment..I will not run
It is my place to stand
We few shall carry hope
Within our bloodied hands
(bloodied hands)
And in our Dying, we're more alive-than we have ever been
I've lived for these few seconds
For I am Winter born
And in the fury of this darkest hour
We will be the light
You've asked me for my sacrifice
And I am Winter born
Without denying, a faith in man
That I have never known
I hear the angels call my name
And I am Winter born
Within this moment now
I am for you, though better men have failed
I will give my life for love
For I am Winter born
And in my dying
I'm more alive, than I have ever been
I will make this sacrifice
For I am Winter born
