darth nihilus-

I'm guessing this comes from http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=nihilistic

darth plagueis-

Plague, perhaps?

darth sion-

Well, Sion is a variant of Zion - which is an idealized community or utopia. That doesn't really fit Sion though. Could be a variant on 'scion', which means descendant or heir - but again, neither of those seem to apply specifically to Sion.

can you explain how the definition of nhihilistic goes with darth nihilus

ni·hil·ism (nī'ə-lĭz'əm, nē'-) pronunciation
n.

1. Philosophy.
1. An extreme form of skepticism that denies all existence.
2. A doctrine holding that all values are baseless and that nothing can be known or communicated.
2. Rejection of all distinctions in moral or religious value and a willingness to repudiate all previous theories of morality or religious belief.

[Latin nihil, nothing + –ISM.]
ni'hil·ist n.
ni'hil·is'tic adj.

---
Nihilus wanted to consume all life in the galaxy, leaving nothing, a theoretical peace, a silence in the Force. He was essentially a black hole without x-ray emitions. He wanted to deny life the right to exist.

There was a Darth Nihilus in the Star Wars universe? Damn, I thought I was being original with my Darth Nihilis name. :\

Hey, coincidence, I play a Sith character on TRF called Darth Necros.

I imagine Darth Sheer would be translated into scissors or shears?

Okay, that is really weird. My Sith char; Zereth Lancer, goes by Darth Necross, which is either latin or hebrew for death. Crazy coincidence.

Sion could also be a variant of psion or psionic, as in a person possesing psychic abilities. Just my two cents

As the resident Greek psycho:

necro-, necr-, necron-, -necrosis, nekro- (Greek: dead, death, dead body, dead tissue, corpse)

I'd go with scion as the meaning. If Vader (father) can be used, so can Scion (descendent).

I bet Darth Sion is named after the car manufacturer: Scion. I can just see him driving one of those square abominations down the road, shiny black with personalized STH LRD plates, of course.
