Bandage

Bandage, with no luggage, made his way into the dormitories. After a stop at one of the termials, he was directed to a vacant dorm. He got a few looks from some of the students as he passed by, but he cared not. He was a Jedi now; people would stare for the rest of his life, so why let it bother you? Bandage smiled, which probably unsettled them more, and continued his walk.

After a few minutes of leisurely walking, Bandage found the indicated dorm. It was a nice room, much nicer than the rags that he slept on in the lower sections of Coruscant, in a dark alleyway. The room was lit, thought Bandage made some adjustments to dim the light some. The room was neatly furnished with a comfortable bed, a mat for meditation, a viewing hologram for communications and such, and a system of closets and drawers. Looking in them, he found several traditional robes, and some dress slacks and shirts. Feeling in need of a shower, he walked into the next joining room, which was a personal bathroom with a shower and large tub combined in one unit. Not used to the doors, he didn't close them as he began to unpack the only thing that he had, himself. Hanging his hat, Bandage began to undo the namesakes from his face and hands. Uncovered, the skin was peeled, cracked, and scorched. He sighed as he looked in the mirror.

"You are one ugly son of a......"

Leten Snat
May 18th, 2005, 02:01:54 PM
Leten had been go for 3 years now, and it was a good feeling to be back at his room at the GJO. His roommate had buggered off so he now had the whole room to himself. His piles of salvage were still just where he left them, and it looked like everything was still there, so the 16 year old boy goes to walk the halls for a bit.

For the last 3 years leten had been recovering from his fall down the abyse (a 1000 floor hole in the lower levels), and fighting for the rights of his own kind, the street people. Gangs tended to pick on them, loot there small villages built out of salvage, take what little food they have, and have their way with the healthy girls of the street people. Of course Leten know all that stuff before he fell down there. He spent from the day he was born to the age of 12 living off that filth, thriving in the muck and droppings left behind by others, much like the rodent that he took on as a last name.

A snat is the lowest thing on the food chain in the lower levels, but has the ability to thrive and prosper in the dark, damp, trash filled floors of the coruscant underground. As a slavager and street person Leten learned every small corner of those bottom 150 floors, and as such he too learned to thrive. People always called him a little snat as an insult, refering towards his likeness in size and place on the humanoid pecking order/food chain. But Leten saw it as a compliment taking the likeness of the rodent's resorce fullness and intelengce. But over the last 3 years the street people have come to know hims as their protector. Some call him a hero, others call him The Snat of Justice, but most in the deep lower levels just call him The Snat.

Thinking about how much things have changed over the years, Leten notices a clearly street worn person moving in. His door is open so Leten see no reason whay he can't go in and offer a friendly greeting. So Leten approches the room.

"Hello! and Welcome to the GJO, My name is Leten Snat, Jedi Padawan, Former Street kid, and Salvage Expert. It's always nice to see new faces arrive, expecaly those that clearly have felt the pain that the less fortunate have come to except as their life. Here at the GJO they will provide you with food, clothing, and an education in the was of the force. I hope that you are finding everything to your liking?"

Bandage jumped, not expecting the visitor. Noting that it was a young boy, Bandage tried his best not to get angry at him. After all, Bandage did leave the door open, though it was merely out of the lack of habit. On the streets one didn't close the doors. Bandage smiled.

"Um, yeah, everything is much to my liking."

Rewrapping his right hand, Bandage offered it to the young man.

"The name's Bandage, and it's a pleasure to meet you."

Leten smiles and shakes his hand, acting as if this man was no diffrent than any other padawan.

"I'm pleased to meet you too. So what or who brings you to the GJO? I was found on the streets by a jedi who noticed the force in me and he brought me here."

Leten always liked to know about things that happened to people that brought them here. It helps him understand their motives, and understand how careful he should be around them.

"Well, long story short, I was a doctor, a burn specialist, who got burned himself.....severely......and I lost everything and lived on the streets. While in the hospital, before I moved to the streets, I was made aware of my MC count, and decided to look for some answers at the GJO......and now, I'm a Padawan under Master Yoghurt."

Bandage gets up, and for some odd reason, goes to a panel that he didn't even know about, and pressed on it. It was a refrigeration unit, and inside was a large supply of orange juice. Wow, these people were good! Bandage reached for one, only then realizing that he was thirsty. He grabbed another one as an afterthought, and carried it back to Leten.

"Want one?"
