Lady Vader

Well, after my initial post about the OCSWS (http://www.sw-fans.net/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=38258) and their plans to begin the Unnoficial Star Wars Days at Disneyland, I've been getting involved with the group and their activities.
Last Wednesday, they were interviewed by the LA Times during their scheduled lightsaber training class (aka shinai classes). The article can be viewed here (http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-starwars13may13,1,3832250.story?ctrack=1&cset=true). Because of the interview, everyone was dressed in full garb from Jedi to Sith, your's truely included.
It was a lot of fun watching them go at it with shinai bamboo sticks and lightsabers alike in hand. I would have joined them except my heeled boots would have been unsafe for the leaping, rolling, spinning, and otherwise. Next time I'll come properly prepaired.
I've only been a part of the group for little over a week, but it seems I've made an impression. At the time I was leaving Wednesday night from the class, I was pleasently surprised by the group leader's offer to make me one of the Society's officers. We'll see what comes of that. :)
At any rate, most of the senior members of the group have noticed my link in my profile to here, and while I can't yet tell if they are roleplayers in the sense of writing stories online, they are certainly Star Wars fans. I have told them they are more than welcome to come and introduce themselves here.
Anyhoo, just thought I'd share the LA Times article with you guys and tell ya what I've been up to with the Fan Force out here in SoCal. :D
