The time has come..............

Many Jedi have been decimated into nothing. Worlds have been conqurered and the Sith now have one Sith Lord and one Sith Apprentice for every two planetary systems.

Organization seems to be apparent. The ranks are known; disorderly control is upon the galaxy.

Few Jedi remain in the open, even less in hiding.
Among these few are remnants of the old Honorable ways of the Jedi.

Also in existence, though scarce, are a new breed of Jedi. They are engineered to control the Force from parents of strong-willed men and women. However, there is one problem- only one in every twenty-five Jedi mated pair yield a Jedi offspring who meets the critieria, and are able to wield this power in a constructive manner. The remaining, are average to say the least....hope is all that is left. Utter, pennacle hope.

So begins, the Jedi............................rebirth.

Chapter 1: Outer Rings

[The view pans into sight] of a world off the edge of the Galaxy.
The land appears vast. Yielding rocks and stones of a slight red hue, and rivers of pure blue water. The horizone gives the impression the world is nearly 1/4 the size of a distant known Sun.

The name of such a place- Tre'Bor.

The vessel approaching is of transport size.....
The contents have a purpose, one goal - Jedi Extermination.

However, this one mission, this lone, desolate place- will be their undoing.

The entry is made silently, under Magnetic Drive. The 3 aboard, an Imperial Sgt. who is battle hardend, and two cloaked figures.
Of dark clothing, they step out of the hold, the wind blows lightly, revealing a weapon, one of deadly intent, a lightsaber. It is encrusted in one symbol, that of the Sith.

They begin moving, traveling toward a small city, not much bigger than a village of fifty or so....

The Sun begins to set, night is coming, a long, hard, winter night.

The sun has set, the Sith have taken camp in the outer edge of the Village. To remain unnoticed and hopefully gain advantage on the believed to be present Jedi.

Unfortunately, the Jedi Master on this particular planet, is quite aware of their presence.....

The night falls uneventful, and soon it is pitch black. New Moon in phase, placing the darkness and the Sith at ease.

The surrounding water has a floral scent of which causes a relaxing mood. The Sgt. aboard this outfit has taken sleep with the silent night, and with his blaster rifle.

The lone Jedi on this planet has trained alone. He was initially a lost Padawan in the early republic days, and seeing the sole control the Senate was giving Palpatine, sought refuge and solitary growth.

This was years ago….now fifty years strong, he appears only twenty-five at the most.
His strength is his asset, his knowledge of the force is his guide.

The morning rolls in, it is 5 am, with the sun not quite up, a mild haze is upon the village, and only the field hands are busy in the crops……

The Sith Master and Apprentice are awake, and the Sgt. has packed away the gear. The shuttle is loaded, and small transport only….

The Sith order the Sgt. aboard the vessel and he quickly obeys, “aye sir.”
He is told to keep the shuttle ready for launch, but not powered, he concurs.

They begin walking the outer edge of the village in opposite directions……

Hoping to meet the Jedi and catch him off guard.
However, he has been awake, and already prepared his utilities and his only needed possession; his Lightsaber………….

…..the fog has set in, the eerie incandescent, overcast daylight is far outsourced by the mood.

The tension is there, even for the Sith, whom wait for what could be the last of four Jedi in the known universe.

It is unknown why the Lord of the Sith sent what could be argued as her good students, instead of the finest the dark side has to offer….however, many things are unknown about the Sith.

Six in the day, and the sun refuses to peal thru the clouds and confusion.

The Sith have made their way to the far south of the village- his home.

They approach cautiously, a wise tactic given the nature of their task- elimination of a threat, eradication of opposition- total removal of the Jedi from existence.

Sith Lord Maeda Agundez, “I do not feel him, or her.”
Sith Apprentice Arielle Kage, “I will move in my Lord.”, Agundez, “Very well.”

She approaches with caution, hand on her lightsaber, focused thru a yellow crystal. On its hilt, etched is the name of her Lord…

Her breathing stops.

The hum of a lightsaber igniting is heard next, in the instant it takes to extend the parabola of plasma and energy, the young Sith Apprentice ignites her ‘saber and reacts to the Jedi stepping out of the shadows.

The blades clash, immediately sparking and Agundez is seen darting about to reach his young apprentice.

He moves with the grace of a Tre’Bor Dierdra Cat. Swiftly, silently and effortlessly.
The brow of whom beads no sweat, but the focus on his face is unwavering.

Back at the battle

The two collide with Sabers drawn, the mighty hum of such an elegant weapon undeniable.

Orin lunges, only to be parried in retort. The apprentice is fierce, her every stroke precise, and calculated.
She lashes out, in full swing with strength enough to force back Orin.
The sight of such a blow appears as a red strike of lightning.

Orin moves back, a sudden Force jump, then out the window of the hut, his once home, now with scars of Lightsabers abound.

She quickly follows. Narrowing her eyes, and sensing her Master approaching.
Agundez appears only a few hundred meters away.

He sees the glow and luminosity of two engrossed in battle, one blue, and one red.
The humidity and midnight daytime haze force the sight of such combatants into a purple hue.

They swing ferociously at one another. Orin dealing slashes that give off the Force in waves, moving trees. His combatant, a gifted wielder and progenitor of the Sith, seems to reel back from such attacks.

She grins, an evil sinister smirk……He remains calm, she Lunges, and twirls her body into a semi-cyclone of sorts, her blade parallel with her body, these are the traits of such skill as to be named in history. She moves upward, Force jumping at a deadly angle into, and up from Orin.

His eyes narrow- his body cold, no heartbeat, silence is upon him….
She glances down from ten feet or so from his arm.

He stares upward, no fear, for fear is deadly to a Jedi, his Saber is not in his hand.

This could be the end….

Agundez appears now, only meters away- Force jumping a ravine above a river of blue.
too late.

Orin sent his Lightsaber up with her, upon her ascent, but she failed to notice, with her reckless use of the Force.
Now he has called it to his side, blade extended, into her cranium and into her heart. Her saber retracts, her body falls to the dark, humid ground. He receives his saber.

With Saber in hand, Orin has removed one threat at his home.

However, her master remains.

Looking at her severly damaged body, Maeda forms and angry grin and walks toward the Jedi.

Orin looks nothing short of cold and focused. Two seemingly antonymic expressions.

Maeda walks briskly, and then extends his saber, battle shall commence.

Orin feels this, and extends his saber as well.

The dialogue is short, and precise, Orin, "How did you find me?"

Maeda, "Despite you running in the fashion of a scared child, I felt you while passing this planet. This does not matter now."

Orin, "I came here to be alone, and alone is where you should have left me."

Next..............the hum of light sabers is heard, as Maeda and Orin lunge into one another.

sabers clash as they initiate a downward slash into one another.

Maeda immediately retracts and parrys.....

Orin deflects and spins into a lethal blow, every intent on removing this Sith from existence.

Deflection ......

Orin and Maeda seem to be at odds, but equal. Saber adeptness alone will not resolve this quarrae.

Force Push Maeda receives the brunt of this manuever....

Tossing him 10 meters.....

Orin dashes towards Maeda, who responds with a delayed but effective deflection and Force backflip.

Maeda inhales, and Force Throws his lightsaber into Orin, who Force deflects it in time, just enough time, to Force jump away from the flying bolder sent his way. Maeda counters, and retreats.

Sith and Jedi counter and power down their respective lightsabers......

"Only one of us is leaving here, Master Orin," exclaims Maeda.

silence is heard; dead, offworld silence.

with the brute F o r c e of nature, Maeda positions his arms to their respective sides and lifts them up slowly, moving speeder sized bolders into the air....the sheer F o r c e required for such a task is daunting.....

-he launches them at Orin-

Seeing the size and lack of evasive time to counter, he F o r c e jumps high enough to be missed.

Orin lands, on his feet, albeit gracefully for such terrain.

He relishes the thought, but engages his own F o r c e will.

He lifts a mound of soil, what seems to have been natured for planting, to grow life, is now going to be used to remove it from this plane of existence.

-he hurls the wave of soil like that of a whale in the ocean at Maeda-

Who jumps and seems to walk along the crests of the waves.

Orin sees this as an opportunity to strike, launching yet another wave from Maedas' stern, colliding both into a hill of destruction, uplifting a 20 year old tree.

Maeda feels the oncoming onslaught, however, his only recourse is to F o r c e jump, he focuses on his elevation, thinking to himself, "higher, higher."

Not enough.

the ridges of earthly sunder reach his legs, crushing them.
he growles....in angst and pain.

Orin is content to leave him, but Maeda does not share this option, despite abiding by the initial terms of this meeting.

He proceeds to walk away, headed for the shuttle.....

Maeda, ignites his saber and F o r c e s it towards Orin with deadly speed.

Orin dodges, jumping to his left side, looking at Maeda as he recovers...

Maeda Agundez does not seem forthcoming in this mercy; he attempts to retrieve his saber mid-flight, Orin retreats to his back, eyes at the mid-day glory, forcing his hands together.

The saber misses, Maeda is already aware, attemping to slow the saber down..........the opportunity has passed.

Orin claps his hands, with that sound, a small, concentrated wall of soil grasps Maeda, partially locking him into his grave.

the saber strikes, removing his head.

Orin has his eyes closed, as this was not the fate he had intended.

Maeda Agundez F o r c e d this outcome.
Orin proceeds to stand, and looks around, closing his eyes, fearing there may be more than these two. He begins toward the landing site. From his sense earlier, he is correct, one storm trooper remains, a Sgt. He is quickly dispatched despite his volleying blaster fire.

Orin boards the ship, taking count of its supplies and fuel, he looks back on his home, knowing he can never return.

Boarding the shuttle.

Orin takes stock of his resources: Food rations, water, Arctic clothing and no extended fuel.

His executioners were sent with only him in mind.

They have failed.

"I would have been fine left alone."

He takes a look at the LightSaber of Meada he kept, just in case it is needed, but not by him.

He lays in a course for the Ve' Ektus System- a distant but not too far off solar system with one Sun.

Time to travel should be no more than 3 days from here.

He engages the Engines.

The Journey begins......

::::Landing in the frost mountains::::

Orin has been traveling nearly 3 days and 2 hours.

He sets site on a flat in the basin or a valley.

"This looks good he says to himself."

If all goes well, we shall meet again. Once more.

He takes stock in both lightsabers, food and then moves to organize his situation.

...............after 4 hours have passed, he is quite aware of his surroundings.

:::the wind blows strongly from the North:::

I'll settle the ship facing South.....giving a tailwind.

I shall meditate on things to unfold.
