Location: Coronet City, Corellia.

Why did he leave like that? Young Jezreal Darkshard was walking down the streets of Coronet. Her attention was elsewhere. She was wondering why Rivin had just up and left without talking to her or explaining the reason why he was leaving, She didn’t hear until several days later that Rivin had been banished by the Eldars for his attack on Chandrila.

He could have at least asked me to go with him. I don’t know if I would have but he could have asked instead of just turning away and leaving me hanging there They had been training. Rivin had chained her to the roof of the training room and they did some telekinetic practice. Half way through something had come to his attention and he quickly departed, leaving her still in chains. A rage then came over her and she ripped the chains from the ceiling with her strength and telekinetic abilities. Her rage had then left her. She had used a vast amount of physical and force energy to pull the chains free. In the end she collapsed on the ground and even today, a week or so later, she was still recovering from the ordeal.

She let out a sigh and kept walking down the street, paying no attention to her surroundings or the tall dark haired man she just bumped into.

Xel-Naga, Ace bounty hunter, was walking down the not so glorious streets of Corellia when he bumped into someone. He looked down at the young woman in black clothing. He judged her age around eighteen to twenty but she had a face more beautiful then girls her age. He stared after her. His gaze stopped on the lightsabre on her belt. He could now tell from the black robes and the lightsabre that the girl must be one of the Sith from the Order on this planet.

Recently a lot of anti-jedi sediment had been going around and on other planets similar things where being said about the sith, though he doubted there where many on Corellia who disliked their Sith rulers. But Xel had heard that there were people willing to pay a reasonable bit of credits for force user, dead or alive, and Xel saw this as a golden opportunity to make a bundle.

The young woman didn’t look too tuff and she had a weary, almost lifeless look in her eyes. She also seemed very distracted by something. It would be easy to shoot a laser bolt at her, to either killer her or simply disable her. He’d rather take her in alive.

He followed her, making sure to stay out of her line of vision and keep her in his. After awhile she ventured into an empty street that looked like it wasn’t used very often. No one was around and it was a perfect place for fight. Xel dropped the large bag he was carrying and pulled his long coat off the reveal the full body armor he wore underneath. It was light but strong enough to take a few blaster bolts before being penetrated. He crouched down and opened the bag and started pulling out weapons. He took his two custom made heavy blaster pistols and placed then on his hip holsters. He pulled out a long knife and put this in its sheath on his belt. He also pulled out a metal helmet, made out of the same material as his body armor, and slipped it onto his head. Then he pulled out a long barreled blaster rifle made for shooting over long distances.

He stood up. The girl hadn’t moved that far ahead of him. She was still in range of his long blaster. He set the blaster of the lowest setting and raised it. He looked through the scope mounted on top and aimed it at the small of the girl’s back. He waited a second and then squeezed the trigger.

Jezreal kept walking. Her thoughts still on Rivin, when she felt something was wrong. Her danger sense was telling her something dangerous was behind her. She dropped low and rolled to the side just as a crimson bolt of energy flew through the air, where she had just been standing. She rolled to her feet and turned around. There was a tall man standing there, He had some kind of body armor on and had a large blaster rifle pointed at her. The barrel flashed and Jezreal side flipped to avoid the shot. When she landed she had her lightsabre in her hand. She thumbed the activation button and the crimson beam came to life.

Jezreal brought the sabre up to deflect the next shot from the man. She slowly moved toward the man. Her lightsabre blocking every shot he sent at her.

Xel swore when his first shot missed and swore every time his shots were dodged or deflected by the girl’s lightsabre. It seems he had underestimated her skill and now he would be paying for his mistake. No He thought I’m not going to die here. I’m going to win this fight. I’m going to get that money He continued firing. Not willing to give up.

Jezreal sidestepped a shot and dashed forward. She raised her hand and used the force to rip the man’s blaster from his hand. She could feel what little energy she had start to fade, I need to finish this up soon, She dashed forward, ready for anything.

Xel growled angrily as his long blaster was ripped from his hand and thrown down the street. He ran his options through his mind. He could attack with his blaster pistols, or use one of the thermal detonators or other explosives he had in the bag at his feet. But right now what he really wanted was a ten meter think wall of durocrete between him on the sith.

He let out a shout and pulled out his blaster pistols and raising them to fire at the woman Take this! He thought as he pulled the triggers.

Jezreal saw the blasters coming out and quickly raised her hand and sent a powerful force blast at the man’s chest. He went flying backward, shooting at the air as he went. He flew into the wall of the building behind him. He smashed through the durocrete hit another wall, which stopped his body. He slid down the wall to the ground and layed among the rubble from the first wall.

His armor had taken a lot of the damage and He didn’t think anything was broken but his entire body ached, from his head to his toes. He looked up through the visor of his helmet at the as the girl walked up to the hole his body had created in the wall. The sunlight shone around her body and made her look even more beautiful. Beautiful but deadly.

Xel realized his blaster pistols where still in his hands. He quickly angled them up and fired apon the girl. If he was going to die here then he wanted to go down fighting.

Jezreal brought her sabre up to block the shots. The rubble on the ground prevented her from moving forward because she knew she couldn’t concentrate on stepping over and around the large chunks of durocrete and block the laser bolts at the same time. The man started to recover more and soon he was back on his feet. Firing as fast as the blasters would allow.

Xel had been concentrating all his fire at the woman’s upper body and he suddenly lowered one of his hands so that one blaster was firing at her upper torso while the other fired at her lower body.

Jezreal deflected the shots as best she could but she could feel herself weakening. Her arms were growing tired and her movements slowed down. At last a laser bolt got through her defense. It hit her on the left side of her stomach and knocked her backwards. Xel had forgotten to set his pistols on a lower setting and the bolt had burned through her thick robes and burned into her flesh. She hit the ground hard. She held her wounded side but did not let a cry of pain escape her lips.

Xel swore for forgetting to set his blaster setting down and moved out through the hole and looked down at Jezreal. He bent down next to her. He placed the barrel of his blaster against her forehead “Now be a good little girl and don’t move” He grinned at her and looked up for where his bag had gone off to.

Jezreal shuddered from the pain and from the heat of the blaster barrel that had been pressed against her forehead. She was about to bring her lightsabre hand up but realized it was empty. Her sabre must have fallen from her hand when she fell. She looked up and saw that the man was no long watching her. Her eyes narrowed and she brought one of her hands up and placed it against the man’s chest. She used all her remaining energy to create a powerful force push that threw the man backwards, through the hole he had created last time. She heard the sound of another wall crumbling and painfully got to her feet. She looked around for her lightsabre but saw none.

Jez turned around and limped away as fast as she could, her hands holding her wound. She moved down the street and through a few alleys. She would eventually reached the sith palace but she wondered if she would last that long.

Xel moaned and pulled himself out of the second pile of durocrete chunks. Now his body ached even more, possibly a broken rib or two. He picked up his blaster pistols from where they had fallen and stumbled out into the street. The girl was gone and he had no idea which way she had gone. He cursed his luck and moved toward his bag. Something shiny on the ground caught his attention. He walked over to object and picked it up. It was the woman’s lightsabre “Well, Atleast I get a souvenir for my trouble” Xel said as he attacked the lightsabre to his belt by the clip on its bottom.

He gathered up his equipment and placed it into his bag along with his helmet. He picked up her coat and slipped into it. He picked up the bag and headed off in the direction of the shabby hotel he was staying at “The sooner I sleep this ache off the better.”
