It had been little over a month since the court of the Aarchim had been set alight with bickering. In the face of the opposing armies of the Tridon, General Gala had become scatterbrained and – as much as his peers did not wish to admit it – was loosing his grasp on the situation at hand. Many of the Captains of the realm had stepped forward, in the confusion, volunteering their services, offering to lead battalions and such like. When it came down to it, however, there was little that they could do now. The war was all but lost, and it was only a matter of time before their camps were overwhelmed.

It was this thought that had driven one captain to leave the planet. Not out of cowardice or in condemnation for the Aarchim, but with the hope that somehow she might be able to change the tides of the battle. Little over a week ago, she had commandeered a small transport vessel intended for diplomatic missions and taken to the skies.

As she lay sleeping in the cockpit, she dreamt of her encounter with another captain - Murnon Moriarci. It was he who had charged her with finding the task of travelling to Coruscant, though she did not believe that he had originally intended the order sincerely. At first she had believed that reaching the Jedi Temple there was impossible, but Milligan had always been possessed with a fierce tenacity and once hope had taken flight in her mind she found herself unable to think of anything else other than tracking down Kelt Simoson, and his Jedi comrades, and bringing them to the aide of the Aarchim.

Of course, she knew it would be no easy task. Her exhaustion from escaping the planets surface had forced her into sleep, and it was in this slumber that she fell prey to the first of perhaps many unfortunate events that would hamper her quest to bring help to the Aarchim. Beyond the main view screen, another ship approached, and its captain had far less noble intentions than Captain Milligan of the Aarchim.

' Linton bring the view screen to full view, Bubbles charge weapons to full, Glunk get your Rodian head out of that soup bowl, ive told you we already ate the last of it...' Blue shoutedn as the electronic noises sounded angrily at the crew in view of the ships presence.

The YV-666 swung itself ahead of the Aarchims vessel and came to a full ahead stop, its side on view made it looked much larger and of course much more menacing to whomever was within the opposing ship.

' Fire... Blue cried and with that Bubbles, the Man-at-Arms pressed but one single button. The lazer cannon fired a single red jet of light which flung itself at Milligans ship with the speed of light, one of the engines was suddenly hit with an explosion that instantly ceased due to lack of oxigen and Milligans ship learched sidewards unhealthily.

' Nice shot Bubbles..' The big man buffed out his chest proudly at his praise. ' Hail the ship...'

The impact of the shot sent Milligan sprawling to the floor, her head coming dangerously close to cracking against the main console. Coming off with only a light bump, but a serious pain in the head nonetheless, she sat up and winced at the harsh sound of the ship receiving a communication. Getting to her feet, she saw through bleary eyes the imposing shape of the vessel that had just fired on her. With her heart racing a mile a minute, she accepted the hail, and opened a channel wordlessly.

' Name, destination and supplies on baord, state them...' Blue said simply, waving down Glunk who was still pining over the eaten soup.

“Milligan. Destination Coruscant. Ship carrying provisional supplies intended only for the duration of the trip, nothing more nothing less.” The Captains voice did not waver once as she spoke.

Blue smiled lightly, surely this woman was lying. He had seen that look before, that look of guilt, embrassement to have lied to the very person trying to rob you.

' You lie, woman?' He didnt wait for her answer. Shut of you engines and prepare to be boarded'

The engines of the vessel silenced, dropping from a soft hum into nothing. Cutting the communications channel, Milligan sighed. She glanced over her shoulder, to the meager weapons she had brought with her and for a moment considered arming herself. After a minute or so of consideration she thought against it, and instead made her way to the main cargo hold, through which her attackers would have to come to board the ship. She folded her arms over her chest and waited.
