Ripping SVCD

I recently filmed a movie for Film class and my editor gave me a copy on SVCD. I'd like to rip that down to a video file(smaller the better, obviously not AVI, if possible) so I can torrent it and put it on my blog/othe rplaces arorund the internet.

What I need help with is ripping from SVCD.
