I'm not a big comic fan (translate: I don't collect comic books), but if you get a chance to pick up this graphic novel, I suggest you do so. It's done by Neil Gaiman, of Sandman fame, and it's based on the premise of the characters of the Marvel universe appearing before their time, in 1602.

It's beautifully drawn, the writing is amazing, and it certainly shows how timeless characters can be.

This is a great series, I bought these when they came out and enjoyed the series very much.

That sounds cool be curious to see it. I think old Doctor Doom would fit well into that time period heh.

He does :) This isn't Gaiman's best, but Gaiman at his most mediocre is better than most other writers.

Holly, if Gaiman interests you, check out The Last Temptation. It's a collaboration between Gaiman and Alice Cooper - wonderful graphic novel :)

And I have to agree - the art I've seen in Marvel 1602 is very well done and supremely easy on the eyes.
