    Jedi The Past will Repeat Itself [OPEN]

    == OSSUS==

    Lowrook waited patiently on the LZ for the ship to land. The sun bathed him in warmth and even though it wasn’t Kashyyyk, it was still good to be outside. Lowrook had been tasked with handling a mission and now he was just waiting for his team to arrive. Up ahead their transport for the mission gently descended from the sky and set down on the tarmac.

    It reminded Lowrook of the Berserker, a gunship that had been his ship, that had been sacrificed at the Wheel, years back.

    This ship was different. It was an ancient Foray Class Starship, from a time even before Lowrook’s time. He was amazed to see something so old in working condition and not in a museum.Still, it’s engines sounded in tune and it didn’t creak or lumber on its struts, so someone had taken good care of it. He remembered from his briefing that it was called the “Exile” and that it had joined the Jedi just a little bit after him. It was not commanded by a Jedi… or anyone with Force powers really, but just someone who thought as they did and had proven herself capable.

    Captain Luminos, he recalled, a female Chiss was the commander. An oddity in a universe of oddities, he marveled.

    Sometimes the Force works in mysterious ways, he thought.Soon enough the ramp to the Exile descended. Captain Luminos would probably make her way out to greet him and the other Jedi who were going along on this mission.

    Even before the Exile settled on her struts, Luminos was already on her way to the port side docking clamp to disembark and meet with the Jedi. Luminos had found herself in a unique situation. She wasn't Alliance Military, yet she had a warship. She had no force powers to speak of and yet she worked for the Jedi. Private Security sounded like the sloths that walked around common areas of Promenades in civilian sectors and taxi driver... well she had heard that more than a few times.

    Still, she saw her work here as important and they kept her crew and her ship going.At that bottom of the ramp, she saw her contact... and it wasn't hard to pick him out. His name was Lowrook and Luminos couldn't remember if he was a Master, Knight or Padawan. Story had it that he was banned for life from ever returning to Kashyyyk upon pain of death. She wondered now what a Jedi could do to earn that sort of punishment.

    Anyway, he was big and hairy, even for a Wookie. His robes were long and covered most of his body and he stood a good couple of feet taller than Luminos. She approached, looking around for the others of the group.

    "Jedi Master Lowrook. I am Luminos, Captain of the Exile. Will you be my only passenger today?"

    The roar of engines filtered through the cracked window and Jedi Knight Kyle Krogen looked up from the dusty tome in his hand, finger still pointing out the word he was silently mouthing. They weren't just any engines blowing in the sky, but they had that sort of deep shudder that indicated a certain older age of ship. That must be the ship they were waiting for. Lowrook had mentioned something about an older vessel. Getting up from his bunk he tucked the book away in his shoulder bag and strode out into the sunlight; grabbing his long coat off the hook as he went.

    With is coat over his arm he headed the sound of engines, his dark tunic standing in contrast to the green vegetation and brown robes of the Jedi traditionalists that dotted the landscape. The Foray Class Starship came into view as he rounded the bend and he let out a whistle. The ship was an antique, a museum piece. Kyle had a soft spot for old and worn out things, but even then something this old was almost expected to break down at some point. The blue skinned alien that disembarked from it didn't really add any reassurance to the matter. He had never met a Chiss before, but he had heard many an old spacer tell stories of the ruthless and calculating Chiss military. Did not strike him as the kind of blokes to help out the Jedi.

    "The others should be along shortly." He said as he stopped beside the towering Wookiee.
