OOC/If you want to join this thread then please pm me before posting. I'm looking for atleast two others to join. Preferably a pair of Jedi, or if someone has a Coruscant detective or something of that nature please pm me. But if you aren't either of those, but still want to join then drop me a line we'll see what we can work.

    Drip...drop...drip...drop...drip...drop...

That was the only noise that could be heard inside suite 1423-A. A leaky faucet one might think if they didn't give it a second thought. Prehaps even a tub that a newly wed couple might have forgotten they had started after a rendevous under the covers. A normal person would assume it was one of these things and never even think twice about it. Unfortunately for a Miss Renos Harlot, she didn't get a choice. She was a maid who worked during the afternoon shifts of the Twi'lek's Inn, a high priced place for high priced people. Most of its guests usually came for a once in a life time's opportunity to live the "good life" as they called it. Others, Senators, delegates, even some medical specialists, called it a home away from home. The only thing that Miss Harlot would ever call it again was a slaughter house.

Laying there in front of her was a body, dripping blood onto the floor. What kind was hard to tell because the skin was removed. She let out a blood curling scream. All the neighbors ran to see what was wrong and a good number of them ran back outside into the hall to vomit. Someone had the good sense to call security, but there was little for them to do. Soon the place would be as busy as a deisgner store having a sale. Police and detectives would be all over the place trying to find the man responsible for this. The man who was now enjoying a nice cup of pumpkin spiced stimcafe.

    Six hours ago...

    Knock. Knock.

"Who is it?" A female's voice asked from behind the suite's door.

"Repair. Heard you got a light out in there," said a male's voice. "I been sent up here to check it out and fix it if need be."

The woman turned her head to the other three people in the room and nodded. That was the code for thier boss. She looked out the camera sitting next to the door and made sure the hall was clear before opening the door.

In stepped a young blonde man. He wore a loose fitting black outfit. In his hand was a carrying case made to look like a tool box. He stepped to the middle of the room and the woman quickly shut the door behind him before she walked around to stand in front of him and offered a slight bow.

He took a quick scan around the room. There were four of them. All seated in a semicirle around him. The first, the woman, wore a tight fitting red dress and looked to be almost as young as he. Next to her sat an older gentleman with a good sized graying beard that complemented his graying head. Next to him sat a yellow skinned Twi'lek who had his head tails decorated with blue and black tattoos. Finally sat a Bothan with ginger colored hair. They all sat there looking as him with uneasy eyes.

"Yurza how ni-," Red started to say.

"Shut up! You all know why I am here so start talking. What happened? What went wrong? I want the story, with details, now so I can hurry and get off this forsaken planet. Everyone else may like it here, but Coruscant stinks."

    "Yes sir."

For a moment no one talked. Finally Ginger got the courage to stand up and address the Dark Knight. "Well...you see Yurza, there was a small set back. We didn't expect the Jedi to know about the shipment of spice and..." He stopped when he saw Yurza staring at him. "Y..yes?"

"Do I look dumb to you? Of course you didn't expect the Jedi to be there. I know what happened with the shipment. What I want to know is why? They were tipped off and I want to know who did it."

Yellow jumped up from his seat. "You couldn't possibly believe that one of us would become a..a..snitch, do you? We had just as much to lose as you yourself did Yurza!"

"Really? Maybe if you were like me then you would pay attention to your business associates and know that one of us didn't actually lose anything, but rather gained a lot. I'll give you credit for trying however," he said opening the tool box and throw a few mechanical parts in front of the group. They all looked at him with confused faces. "Those are critical parts from your spying equipment. For the past few months, everythingyou have seen of me is what I wanted you to see. Now however that charade is over. I know you all think you are clever and outwitted me by finding my viewing devices, but I assure you that I had more than what I put there for you to find."

Yellow stood there looking as if he had been physically slapped across the face. It took him a moment before composing himself and stammering out a response. "Bu...but who?"

Now Yurza turned to the only in the room who had not spoke. "Care to explain?"

Gray gave a soft smile and rose slightly to sit on the edge of his chair. "What is there to explain? I learned from the best Yurza. You may care about honor and all the hoaxy religion, but I believe in credits. And that is what I made. How hard can it be to grasp?"

Yurza started forward and began to reach in the toolbox for his lightsaber. Before he could make two steps however, Gray had a blaster trained on him. "I would think twice before I do that. You may be fast, but I doubt you are fast enough to dodge a blaster bolt."

He looked at the man ludicrously. "When I thought you couldn't be any dumber, you have to and go prove me wrong."

He lifted his hand from the box and used the Force to snatch the weapon away from Gray. He threw it against the wall, shattering it. The entire time he kept his eyes on Gray and watched his face go from calm and in control to surprised to frightened.

"Know you are going to repay me for my losses...and help teach the others a lesson to never cross me," he said finally grabbing his lightsaber. He extended his presence in the Force and pushed and held the man against his chair. He walked over to Gray with malice in his eyes and leaned close enough to whisper in the man's ear. "I hope you are a screamer. These rooms are sound proof and I would enjoy this even more knowning what I was doing to you."

He leaned back and ignited one of his lightsaber's ends. A bright blue blade etended from the hilt with a silent snap-hiss. He gently touched the laser to Gray's leg and was rewarded with a howl of pain.

For the next two hours, Yurza kept the other three people watching as he slowly and precisely removed Gray's skin from his body. When he was done he turned to the others and motioned towards the door. "You are free to go, but let this be a warning to you all if you attempt to cross me in the future."

All three jumped from thier seats and ran from the room. Red went to a restroom, loosing her lunch and the two aliens ran outside in the night, calling anyone and everyone to ge a shuttle off planet. Yurza turned back to Gray's body and smiled. It was just like out of a science book, except slightly burned from the lightsaber blade. He quickly packed up his things and left the room. He decided that prehaps Coruscant was well enough afterall. He might even get a drink and see what else this planet would have to offer.

A scream was heard. Waves of people came. Everthing that had happen was now done, and there was no way of knowing how or why this crime was committed. As the security officers came and secured the area, a call went out for detectives to come. A matter like this was not ment for security, nor was there much, now, in their power to do anything about it. When the detectives got to the scene, they saw that this was not the average murder.

"Look at this guy..." Said a detective to the head of security in the building. "Poor devil didn't even stand a chance. You see these burns?" he went on, "I've only seen burns like these on fellas that were caught in the heat of a fire or from plasma...or from a lightsaber. Ever seen a lightsaber wound? Its so hot that it cuts through many things, and flesh is just like butter to a hot knife. It cuts and seals. Here, though, it looks like someone with a great deal of patience, not to mention a sick mind, burned the flesh right off of this...creature...while he was still alive."

The officer stood up from looking at the corpse and turned to the security officer. "Get me a comm to that Jedi Order. This might be something they will want to look into..."

The man took one last look at the body before nodding his head and leaving the room to get a hold of the Jedi. It did not take him long to get a hold of them and a Jedi was dispatched right away at the news of it being a possible Force user. Sith, that name did not really have the meaning it once did. Many Jedi and Sith alike have fallen away from their teachers and have gone out on their own to make trouble where ever they wanted. Even Jedi that have left were not helping as much as being the problem as well.

In less then a half hour, a Jedi made his way down the halls of the Inn, pass security, and lead to the room that has now been blocked off from all personel except the inverstigators and detectives.

"Ahh, good to see that the Jedi could spare us a visit." Said the officer as Rognan Dar entered the room. "I'm detective Denfir." Rognan bowed his greetings but the officer went right to business.

"This is what we called you for," pointed Denfir to the body on the ground. It was not Rognan's first time to see a dead body, but it was the first time to see one that had all its skin burned off. "I'll save you having to make the obvious statments. This was done, by the looks of it, by a lightsaber or something close to it. Nothing else could have been able to do such a good job so quickly. Time of death is uncertain; rounded off to a few hours. The lab is working on it."

Rognan ventured in for a closer look, even though he wanted to be moving farther away from the burnt flesh and the smell that was rising from the body.

"I'm going to have to agree with you Detective. But I dont see how calling me here is going to help you when you seem to know far more then I do."

"I didn't call you here for your great talent in finding things out. Thats my job. No, I called you here because if it is a fallen Jedi, then I dont want my men indangered if he tries to get us. Your here to stop him, once we find him."

"Very well. I will help, but I am not going to sit on the side lines untill you think you need me. Alright?"

"Lets just get one thing strait: I am in charge of this investigation. As long as you obey by my rules, you can go sleep with the maid afterwards for all I care."

Rognan nodded and went about the room, looking around and not wanting to get on Denfir's bad side. Rog was not about to let this man tackle this alone. For if it was a Sith, then whoever did killed this man would be able to take down many more people before giving up or being killed. And that was something he could not let happen.

    "So whats this then?"

"What, are you dumb? Can you not see that it is a blaster that has been smashed to bits? Jedi..." The last word was almost spoken in the way of a curse, but just short of it. Clearly he did not like Jedi. Most people did not. Not when it got in the way of thier jobs or having themselves look bad.

Kneeling down to look at the parts, Rognan could see that it was the remains of a blaster. Looking up to the wall, there was a dent in it from the impact of it being thrown there. "Looks like there was a fight..."

"No there wasn't. No other victims, no other bodies, and no blaster marks anywhere. What are you getting at Jedi?"

"That, if there was no fight, then I can only think that this... man... either threatened our killer or was a target. Maybe he pulled the gun but didn't have the chance to use it before it was thrown across the room."

"But how could someone knock a blaster away from someone like that without him firing even one shot?"

"Because it was a Sith. There is no other way that someone would have been able to get the drop on someone with a blaster pointed at them. And look at this room. Its been set up for more then two to sit. Looks like there was a gathering of some kind and that the meeting went badly." Rognan stood up and walked around the room again.

This made the detective pause for a minute as he also tried to figure out what went wrong and why there might have been a meeting.

"Yeah well, whoever it was is nuts. I've seen things that Sith do to people, but this...whatever or whoever did this isn't human," the detective replied. He went and looked around for a few more seconds. He then put in a call to the station asking them to see if there had ever been a report of this type of thing before and if there had then he wanted names.

Denfir walked back over to the Jedi and rubbed the sweat from his forehead. "Look I don't particularly care for Jedi, but isn't there something you could do? I thought y'all was supposed to be psychic or something? I got my men looking up the files for other cases of this stuff, but so for we don't have anything going on."

    Meanwhile...

Yurza smiled as he finished his stimcafe. He looked at his watch and thought for a second. He still had a few hours before his shuttle left. What to do until then was his problem. He flipped a single cred-chip on the table and stood up to leave. He walked down the strip until he came to a small shopping center. Most of the shops were selling clothes, but a few sold other various items such as computer equipment and such. He also noticed there were a few small toy shops in there.

Hmm...I did forget Aliandra's birthday last month. Maybe a little toy would make up for it, the man thought as he changed his direction for the nearest toy shop. As soon as he walked in there his entire attitude changed. The room was filled with toys or all different shapes and sizes. What the? What am I supposed to get her in here? Ughh...how does Dalethria shop for the child?

    Back at the scene...

Before Rognan was given the chance to respond to the question from Denfir, the detective's comm started to beep.

    "Denfir here."

"Sir, this is Johnson from the station. We looked into the records and it appears that there was a case of this before. A Sith known as Sorsha Kasajian. There isn't much details, but from what the report said that that was a much worse scene. Instead of just one person it was a group and sir..."

    "What is it Johnson?"

"...they were children sir. She skinned children alive..."

A look of horror came over the detectives face and his color drained. His hands trembled as he brought the small device back up to his lips. "Go...good job Johnson. K...keep looking."

He closed his comm and looked back at the Jedi Knight. "Did you catch that? I don't care who you are, but we have got to find this...this monster now."

When the call was send to the Jedi temple and when Jedi Knight Rognan Dar had left the Temple a shadow had fallowed him. The person shadowing him was none other then Jedi Padawan Kyle Krogen. He had heard the call and was greatly interested. He had followed Rognan from the Temple all the way to the hotel.

With a blaster pistol at his side and his lightsabre dangling from his belt Kyle entered the hotel, walking past any security who at the sight of his brown robes identified him as a jedi and didn't stop him. He soon reached the floor that the murder had happened on. He stood behind the detective while he and Rognan spoke and he watched Rognan as he moved around the room, pointing out things.

He stepped out from behind the detective just as he finished talking about the child murderer "Another Jedi" He said with a suprised voice "We already have one" his voice now almost angry.

Kyle turned to the detective "If one is good then wouldn't two be better?" He asked before turning back to view the room. The detective stepped back and grumbled something quietly.

Kyle knelt down by the burnt body with is breath held. He examined it closely. It did indeed look like it had been done with a lightsabre or something similar.

He stepped back from the body and started breathing again. He noticed that there where four chairs sitting in the middle of the room "Looks like there most have been four of them. Which means there most be three more people."

He turned and walked over to the broken blaster by the wall. He bent down to examine to parts. He could tell it was a blaster "It would take a great amount of force to cause a blaster to shatter like this" He said to anyone who was listening "If we are truely dealing with a sith or dark jedi then I'd assume that it was done with the force...But a strong person might have smashed it."

He stood up and turned to Rognan "What do you make of all this?"

"Hold it right there Nathan...Nathan!!" A young woman yelled out.

"What? I didn't do it?" The small seven year old said with a big grin on his face.

Naysheta walked over to the mess that her smaller brother had made and began picking it up. "Look...birthday or not, you keep misbehaving and I will take you home and tell mom and dad. Is that understood?"

"Alright..." The boy said with a down trodden face. "I never get to have any fun."

He started walk away and then his eyes lit up as he spied a rack of ball. He looked back over a Naysheta to make sure she wasn't watching and then he made a mad dash over to the rack. As the girl finished cleaning and looked around for her brother she heard a loud BANG! She sighed as she rose to her feet and went over to the child's latest mess. She may have loved the boy and adored him more than anything in the world, but there were times when he could also be the biggest pain in the galaxy.

On the way over to him, she bumped into a blonde haired man and quickly turned to apologize before going over to start cleaning up Nathan's new disaster.

"It is clear that it was Sith. But I dont think it would have been this Sorsha. If she did children, then busting into a meeting and killing one person doesn't add together. It must be someone different. Maybe even someone that knew her. But we have no links between Sith. There is no way we could tell who it would be.

You are right detective. This 'monster' needs to be stopped before he can kill again. You should send some men to the closest space port to keep a eye out. This person might be trying to leave before we can find him."

If Rog was right about him wanting to leave, then this, for want of a better word, man or woman could be off world already. But there was a slight chance that he might not be in a big hurry to get off and that they might get a visual on someone. Visual...

"Is there any camera's in this place?" Rognan said as he started to go to the doors to look for himself. Anyone that wanted to know could see it for themselves. The halls were monitered by small cams that would be easy to over look. But they were not ment to be unseen. There was one at each end of this hall and most likely at every hall. But the cams might not have got a good shot at the face of the killer. The gap between the two camera's in this hall were enough that he if had his head facing a different way, could have gotten through. But could he avoid all of them?

"Denfir, would you be so kind as to lead me to the security cam station? Care to tag along Kyle?"

"Sure I can get you there. Follow me," the detective said as he walked away from the room and to the turbo lift. He waited for the Jedi and then went down to the first floor. He look a left as they exited the lift and went to a small door marked Employees Only. "Here they are."

He knocked on the door and two uniformed officers opened up. "Alright these are the Jedi helping us with that murder up on the twenty second floor. I want you to give them all the help you can," he said before turning to the Jedi. "I'll leave you hear and then just go and put in the measures with the space ports. If you need me just tell these guys and they will get in touch with me."

    At the store...

The girl bumped into him and he turned ready to tell her she should be watching where she was going when he saw she was with a small child. "Excuse me...I was wondering if you could help me. I'm looking for a toy for a friend's daughter and I have no idea what to get her."

"Hmm? Oh sure...just let me clean this up," she said walking a few steps over to the mess and started cleaning it up. "Boy or girl?"

When the man didn't answer she looked over and saw the look of confusion on his face. "If the child a boy or girl? Ohh, and what are her hobbies?"

"Sure" Kyle said before walking along behind the two older men. They walked in silence until they reached the Security room. Kyle looked around the room at all the hi-tech equipment for a moment before turning to the security men "We need all the footage from every camera on the floor of the murder within the last few hours" He said and the guys quickly went to work gathering the vid clips he requested.

Rognan followed the detective all the way to the cam room. When Denfir said that he was going to arrange a few things, Rog bowed and thanked him before stepping into the room. The room looked like most standard security rooms where there was a small opening that went into a bigger room where many screens showed many different hallways and entery ways and anywhere else they put a camera. The images changed back and forth between two or three images, returning back to the first to start all over again. There were two men sitting, watching the monitors, and a third standing behind them, looking like a supervisuor.

As Kyle asked the men what they needed, Rog looked at the screens and saw the one that looked at the hall were two men were standing watch.

"There," Rognan said, pointing to the screen. "Go from that camera and go backwards until the last person that entered and left that room."

Rognan watched as the scene as it went backwards in time to after security came. The man paused it as the maid entered the room. He looked to Rognan for intructions. With a motion of his hand, the officer continued going backwards. There was a long but of nothing that happened, not for a good many hours. Just other people walking by, going about their own business. Then there was a man, and then a few other people that left the room. "Ok, stop. Thats our man. Go to when he first came into the room." Without hesitation it went back. "Now play it through." They watched for a while as nothing seemed to happen. To bad there was no sound pickups on these things, ROg thought.

After a while the man then left, having dropped whatever it was that he brought in. He was in there for a long time. Much longer then it would have taken to just kill someone. So there was a meeting. And it was four others, at lest, that were there. The three other members that left were in a hurry, but they were not as important to him as was the last man.

"Give me a close up shot on him, from any and all possible angels. And then check the entrance cam and see what direction he left in. Oh, and try and get a ID on those other three. They may have a hand in all this."

"Well...she is a she...and hobbies...umm...I'm not sure. She does like to play and play jokes...but...she's about this big," he said holding his hands up showing the size of a small child or maybe three or four. "That's really all I know.

    Hotel...

The gaurds nodded when the Jedi asked for the ID's of the other people. They were easy to get a clear look at and run their faces through an ID scan, the other though was harder to do.

One of the gaurds turned around and handed a printed copy of the three's ID's. "Here you go Master Jedi. The Twi'lek is a small time arms dealer. His name is Bid Narda. He has three warrents out on him for smuggling. The woman was Victoria Newra...and oddly there isn't anything on her. She seems to be the model citizen. Lives in the upper class of Coruscant and that is about it. The most she has ever had was a traffic violation a few years ago...and oddly the same is said about the Bothan," he said looking back up at the Jedi. "I don't see how these people could be connected to that monster. I mean the arms dealer maybe, but he seems to small time for this kind of action."

"Hey we've got him!" One of the guards exclaimed. They had spent almost an hour trying to catch the guys face and they finally had enough to run it through the system and see what came up.

"Ok...let's see whatcha ya got," Denfir said as he came walking back over.

"Well, it isn't the greatest, but I think I can get a response," one of them said as he put it in. They waited for a few nerve wretching moments and finally it finished and sent back a name.

"ok, let's see who we got here. The gaurds and detectie leaned in a looked and when they looked back there faces were even paler. Seeing the confusion on the Jedi's face Denfir moved and allowed them to see what it had returned.

Rognan passed back and forth in the room, reading the reports on the three known people to enter and exit that room. None of it came to any connection. Not with these three. They were so far from appart that it might have made sense, but it did not. Who was the last man, though? He had not got anything back on him. Even the cams didn't get him because most of them were to his back as he entered. Was there even a chance to ID him?

"Can you run up a search for these three? At lest the two that we know we can find easyer? I dont think Bid Narda is going to stick around for long or in one place."

After several more minutes went by before anything else popped up. ROgnan turned to the excited officer as he said that he identified the man. They all waited as the write-up on the results came. The detective got it first and looked at it. Rognan could see, even without the lose of color from Denfir's face, that something was wrong. Right when something positive comes up, it goes strait down hill. Taking the result, Rognan scanned it quickly.

"There must be a mistake. Are you sure this is the right results?" He said looking to the officer for any hint of doubt. The man only nodded his head to Rog's question.

Kyle was right, the only thing they had to go on was to find Shade. Shade would never do something like this, though. It can't be him, it didn't add up. He saw Shade quite a lot of times, and they were good friends. Rognan couldn't believe this; didn't believe this. It had to be wrong. Computers were not always accurate. Even they can make mistakes.

"71% Thats not enough for me to except that match. There is to much room for error. It could be someone possing as Shade. With surgery, you can make yourself look like just about anyone."

Denfir shook his head. "I don't care if it is right right now. We'll keep running it, but we want him in custody now. Call your Jedi and have him brought in. I don't care what it takes. If he is innocent then he should come willingly and won't have anything to be afraid of then should he?"

Rognan agreed, but still didn't like it. He went off into a corner of the room and pulled out his comm and keyed up the Jedi Order. It took him a while to get the right connections and even then he didn't get what he wanted. It appeared that Shade was not in-touch with the Jedi at the moment. But that did not mean that he was behind this. It just ment that he was not at the Order right now. Most likely off on some mission, that he was always on.

Returning back to the group, Rognan told them the news of how he tried to get Shade.

"He is just away from the Order and most likely off planet. But that has been for some time, so I'm told. So this can't be him. I informed the Order to conntact me once they do get a hold of Shade, though.

So, if I am correct on it not being him, then we are right back at square one: Not knowing who did this. Is there any way that we can follow his movements through the city? Is there any cams placed throughout the city?"
